Our peaceful stretch of river in the heart of Dedham Vale is a hidden gem for anglers, with opportunities to catch pike, perch & chub throughout the season. Whether you're a seasoned angler or simply fancy a quiet morning by the water, there's nothing quite like casting a line as the river drifts gently past.

🏕️🌿 When people think of Rushbanks, they often think of our famous riverside pitches... but there’s so much more to discover! 🌿🏕️

As you arrive down our long driveway, the campsite opens up before you, revealing a beautiful riverside escape in the heart of Dedham Vale 💚 on the Suffolk / Essex border.

At the centre of it all is Sunset Corner 🌅 – the hub of the campsite. Here you’ll find our riverside toilets, showers and washing-up area (possibly the only place where doing the washing up comes with a river view! 🛶), along with benches, swings, a large jetty. This is also the location for our various pop-up catering we have throughout the summer (see separate dates)

From here you’ll spot our riverside bell tents ⛺✨ – perfect for anyone who loves the idea of camping without the hassle of pitching a tent.

Follow along our stunning Riverside pitches 🏞️, complete with jetties and front-row views of the River Stour, before heading to our canoe and paddleboard launch area 🚣‍♀️. This is where we host our daily 10am safety briefings before guests set off on our legendary paddle to the pub 🍻.

Beyond the riverbank you’ll find Sunset Strip 🌾, a peaceful camping area bordered by our tall hedges, plus our spacious fields Woodland Edge 🌳 and Greenacres 🍃, offering plenty of room to relax and spread out and for kids to play.

With pitches allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, every stay is a little different – but whether you’re paddling, fishing 🎣, sitting around a campfire 🔥, or simply watching the river drift by, the result is always the same: proper downtime.

🔥 The Touring Sauna 🔥

We’re excited to welcome back to the river for the summer season — bringing the ultimate blend of heat, relaxation, and riverside calm right to Rushbanks 🌿

Set in a beautifully converted horsebox, this wood-fired sauna experience is all about switching off, slowing down, and soaking up the peaceful surroundings of the river. Warm up inside, cool off in the fresh air, then head back to your pitch or bell tent for a relaxed evening under the stars ✨

👥 Max 5 people per session
