It is always such a privilege to do the work we do and to play even a small part in the lives of the young people and families we support.

Equally, it is a joy to be surrounded by fellow frontline professionals who share our passion and commitment to supporting young people and their families. 💛

At our recent Teen FLASH Group Leader Training in Essex, we asked our delegates four questions…

💭 What did this training make you think?
💛 How did this training make you feel?
🙌 What new skills did you learn?
👣 What next steps will you take?

The results… well, we think they speak for themselves. 💛

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, threw themselves into the three days, shared their experiences, challenged their thinking and learnt alongside us.

We can't wait to see where those 👣 take you next.

Had a fantastic time delivering the Incredible Years 2.0 Preschool Training at the Club Doncaster Sports Village.

The trainees were incredibly open to learning and engaged positively throughout all three days. They brought professionalism, enthusiasm, humour, and a genuine willingness to share their knowledge, experiences, and reflections. Their energy and commitment made the training a real pleasure to deliver—and certainly made the long drive worthwhile!

I was also delighted to be joined by my fellow Incredible Years Mentor, Karen Legge from Bistrol, who was absolutely fabulous. Her knowledge, experience, and warmth added so much to the training, and it was a joy to co-deliver alongside her.

A huge thank you to everyone involved for making it such an enjoyable and rewarding few days.

What an inspiring few days at the **Incredible Years 2026 Mentor Meeting** at the University of Turku in Finland! 🇫🇮❤️

I was absolutely delighted to be awarded a **Luminary Award for long service to The Incredible Years** — such a special recognition and one I feel very proud of. 🌟

I also had the pleasure of delivering a **“Hot Tips” presentation** alongside the amazing Dr Kate Rhee, as well as taking part in coaching sessions.

It was fascinating and inspiring to hear the latest updates on **Incredible Years research, implementation and developments from across the world**. There was so much to learn and reflect on.

Even more special was spending time with the wonderful **UK Incredible Years trainers and mentors**. It was lovely to catch up, share experiences, laugh together and celebrate the work we all do. ❤️

I came home **tired but very happy — and with my Incredible Years knowledge bucket well and truly filled up!** 😂📚

Feeling very grateful for the experience, the learning, the friendships and the opportunity to be part of such an incredible community.

Many thanks to Essex Community Foundation for hosting such a lovely Summer Drinks Reception at Braxted Park on 29th July.

It was a wonderfully organised event and a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow fundholders, donors, representatives from local charities, ECF Trustees, and members of the ECF team.

During the afternoon, Chief Executive Caroline Taylor reflected on the Foundation's achievements over the past 30 years and shared its exciting ambitions for the future, highlighting the importance of working alongside donors to strengthen local communities.

Debbi was especially pleased to meet one of our valued supporters, Spencer Davis from the Ellisons Foundation, whose funding enables us to deliver workshops and courses across Colchester for parents facing a range of parenting challenges.

A heartfelt thank you also to the Michael and Gillian Foulkes Fund for funding practitioner training, helping us equip more professionals to deliver programmes that support parents and strengthen family relationships and dynamics.

We are incredibly grateful for the support of Essex Community Foundation and our funders, whose generosity helps us continue making a positive difference for families across our communities.

We are delighted to share a recent **STOP Parent Programme Report** from **Stripes**, a West Yorkshire ADHD charity.

Stripes has been delivering the STOP programme to parents of young people with ADHD and associated neurodevelopmental needs, helping families strengthen relationships, reduce stress, and develop practical parenting strategies.

📖 Read the full report here:
https://theministryofparenting.com/site/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Stripes-STOP-group.-End-of-course-report-May-July-2026.pdf

🌟 The results are incredibly encouraging:
• 100% of parents who started the programme completed it
• Reduced parent and family stress levels
• Improved coping and confidence
• Stronger parent–child relationships
• An overall satisfaction score of **9.4 out of 10**

What particularly stands out is the powerful combination of outcome data and parents' own words, which vividly demonstrate the difference the programme has made to families. It is also wonderful to see the strong sense of peer support that developed, with parents choosing to stay connected after the programme ended.

A huge congratulations to **Corinne Hunter and Leanne Muir**, whose skill, dedication, and compassionate facilitation helped create such positive outcomes for the families involved. You should both be incredibly proud of what you have achieved.

What a fantastic three days delivering the new Incredible Years® Preschool Basic 2.0 Training alongside fellow Incredible Years Trainer Joanne Singleton from Manchester.

We had the pleasure of training 20 practitioners from Cambridge Targeted Support Services and Home-Start Cambridgeshire. The group brought a wealth of experience, enthusiasm, and commitment to supporting children and families, making the training a real pleasure to deliver.

Despite the heatwave, everyone remained engaged, energetic, and fully involved throughout the three days – no small achievement! ☀️😊

Thank you to all the trainees for your thoughtful contributions, willingness to learn, and dedication to improving outcomes for children and families. We wish you every success as you begin implementing the programme in your services.
