Salmon risotto ๐Ÿฃ
40g protein per serving

Ingredients:
โ€ข1L chicken stock
โ€ข4 salmon fillets
โ€ข2 tbsp olive oil
โ€ข50g butter
โ€ข1 onion
โ€ข1 garlic clove
โ€ข250g arborio rice
โ€ข300ml white wine
โ€ข100g frozen peas
โ€ข1/2 lemon
โ€ข50g Parmesan

Method:
Step 1- Bring the chicken stock to a simmer in a saucepan over a medium heat, add the salmon fillets and poach for 6 mins or until just cooked. Remove from the pan, leaving the stock behind, and set aside to cool for 2-3 mins before removing the skin. Keep on a low heat or remove and leave the lid on to keep the stock as warm as possible.

Step 2- Heat the oil and half the butter in a large frying pan over a medium-low heat and, once the butter has melted, scatter in the onion and cook for 10-12 mins until softened but not golden. Add the garlic, stir and cook for 1 min before stirring in the rice and cooking for 2 mins until well coated in the oil

Step 3- Pour in the wine, turn up the heat to medium, and cook for 4-5 mins until evaporated. Keep the pan on the heat and pour in about a quarter of the reserved chicken stock. Stirring often until the stock has been absorbed by the rice, about 4-5 mins. Repeat three more times, adding the next batch once the previous one has been absorbed.
With the final batch, add the peas and flake in the cooked salmon fillets. Season with lots of freshly ground black pepper and cook for 3-4 mins until the rice is tender and the peas and salmon are heated through. If the rice needs a little more cooking or the stock absorbs too quickly, add a splash more hot water.

Step 4- Remove the risotto from the heat and stir through the remaining butter, lemon juice and parmesan.
Scatter over the lemon zest, if you like, then serve straightaway.

Happy Tuesday stunners โ˜€๏ธ

I gotta tell ya I went heavy on the above three exercises and my poor little legs and b***y were screaming at me to stop, but I didnโ€™t listen ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

Itโ€™s been a stressful and emotional couple of weeks in the Groombridge/Shearer household and my training definitely took a back step. Mentally I wasnโ€™t here but we stuck together and now I can feel a new surge of energy pushing me to become better and do more.

Top tips:

๐Ÿ‘ - ensure a nice straight line from knee to ankle at the top of the movement

๐Ÿ‘- keep the weight in your heels

๐Ÿ‘- squeeze that juice b***y at the top but push your rib cage down. Focus on the spine staying super straight. If you push your rib cage up then there is too much pressure on the lower back. Screaming out for an injury โŒ

๐Ÿ‘- breeeeeaaaathe

What is happening my sexy bunch of stunners. Shall we have a little gossip about Romanian Deadlifts?

First things first! Donโ€™t you dare squat or Iโ€™m gonna find ya. No, push your hips back like youโ€™re trying to push your big olโ€™ b***y away from you. You want to keep a soft bend in those knees to achieve your full range and feel that super sexy stretch in those hamstrings and glutes ๐Ÿ‘

Next up, pretend you have some oranges under your armpits and you canโ€™t drop them or you die. ๐ŸšจGAME OVER ๐Ÿšจ Those imaginary oranges will keep your shoulders back, chest out and your back straight. And THAT is what we call perfect form for an RDL ๐ŸคŒ๐Ÿผ

A few little extras to remember.. keep your weight in your goddam heels. We are no pointe ballerinas, we are strong like bull ๐Ÿ‚ and tuck that chin to your chest please and thankyou ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ

Is there anyone who actually enjoys Bulgarian split squats? I definitely donโ€™t but needs must ๐Ÿคข

Top tips:

- Make sure your back foot isnโ€™t directly behind your front foot. It needs to be next to it not behind.

- Keep the weight in your front heel

- Engage your core

- Slightly tilt forward bringing your chest over your toes

- Find a spot to focus on to help keep your balance

- Take it slow! Slow = better control
