Team TAC are so proud to announce that after their performance at Saturday's British Fell Relays our Ladies V50 team can call themselves British Champions 🏆

The road to the relays wasn't plain sailing and the team required a last minute sub, plus two runners were ill on the day. However the team consisting of Fiona Hall on Leg 1, Susie Peddar and Julie Townson on Leg 2, Fionnuala Swann and Kerrie Bretherton on Leg 3, and Molly Ralphson on Leg 4 fought all the way to come out on top!

It’s been fantastic having the opportunity to compete at the highest level in our country and then to go and win was the icing on the cake!

Big shout out to Todmorden Harriers for hosting a 1st class event and for booking the sunshine 🌞

We couldn't not mention all the wonderful junior runners who competed at the T7 today, with 100 of them representing clubs from Lancashire & beyond across the three races!

Our club had eight runners in the Junior races, plus Sam Midgley who ran in the Senior race, all of who did the club proud. Special mentions go to Pheobe Glowdansky who was 1st place in the U12 Girls 🥇 Max Bond who placed 3rd in the U16 Boys 🥉 and Sam who was 7th in the Senior race as well as 1st in his category 🥇

Thank you to Anne Smith and her team of helpers for putting on the races, and to Davids running photos for the brilliant photos.

Wow! What can we say about the Trawden 7 race today? An amazing 270 runners turned up to take in the senior race, which forms part of the Pendle and Burnley Grand Prix series. The weather brightened up in time for the runners to set off, who at the end were rewarded with beers & buffs for their efforts.

Thank you to everyone who has worked so hard behind the scenes to put on the race, plus all our marshals, and helpers on the day. We couldn't do it without you 🖤🤍❤️

Here are a few photos of the very worthy winners at the prize presentation 🏆

📣 TAC on Tour 📣

Whilst most of our members are dodging raindrops on the trails here in Lancashire, some of our members manage to travel a bit further afield for their running endeavours.

Recently our team mate & Up The Tempo runner Aushra competed at the Karnavė Vilnius Trail Marathon in Lithuania, where she achieved a well deserved 1st place 🏆 It was also her Birthday so double the celebrations 🍾 Well done Aushra!

Everyone in the club has been really busy since our last post, so it's time to share some recent team achievements starting with the Relays.

First up was Yorkshire 3 Peaks Relay in April where both our Ladies and Men's teams were 3rd in their categories.

In May it was then time for the Calderdale Way Relay, where our Ladies team finished 1st Vets and 5th overall.

Not to be outdone at the Bradford Millenium Way Relays in June the ladies then came an amazing 2nd place 🥈

Well done to all those who flew the Team TAC flag, as well as our Captains for organising.

The Relays really are a great opportunity for the club to come together and we are keen to include as many members as possible. If you fancy stepping up next year keep an eye out for the Captain's shout out!

Whilst we look forward to seven of our members running the London Marathon this Sunday, let's celebrate two of our recent Marathoners; Ian who competed at the Milano Marathon and Brent who took on the Boston Marathon.

Good luck to all our Marathon runners this weekend; whether it's at London or Blackpool, we know you'll smash it!
