Triple Winners for Colne Juniors!

Today marks the end of the 2025/26 Junior Badminton season. Our Year 9 A team has only gone and won both leagues!!

The team hardly dropped a game in the entire 8 event season across the M65 Junior League in Group A and the tougher Greater Manchester Junior League in Group B. Their development this season has been superb, and they have all been an absolute pleasure to coach.

This result means Colne's name is on the M65 winners trophy a record 3 times (also winning in 19/20 & 22/23 seasons) and for the first time on GMJL!

Ava also won the M65's Most Sporting Player award with 12 votes out of a possible 16! Showing above all else, Colne's excellent etiquette and show of manners whether we're winning or losing.

Once the trophies have been engraved, they will be presented on a Friday night, and the players will take turns taking the trophies home until the end of next season.

Our senior club is now FULL — which is brilliant, but also means we can’t accept any new members right now.

Good news though… Summer Club starts in June (date to be confirmed), and we’ll be opening up spaces again then!

So keep those rackets ready and watch this space. Clearly, badminton is more popular than our backhands… 😅
