What a weekend! 🎶💙

Colne & Nelson Rugby Club would like to say a huge thank you to every single person who attended The Blues Festival! You helped create an incredible atmosphere and made the whole weekend truly unforgettable.

A massive thank you to all the fantastic bands and musicians who performed and kept the club rocking. Your talent, energy and passion made the festival one to remember! 🎸🎤🥁

Most importantly, a heartfelt thank you to every single rugby club volunteer who helped throughout the weekend. From working in the kitchen and behind the bar, to helping around the club and looking after the facilities, your time and dedication made it all possible.

The festival simply wouldn’t happen without you. 💙

To the bands, volunteers, staff and everyone who came along: thank you for making The Blues Festival such a brilliant celebration of music and good times.

We’re getting the Bank Holiday weekend underway with something very special…

🔥 THURSDAY 27TH AUGUST — SURPRISE PERFORMANCE! 🔥

We’re thrilled to announce a surprise performance from The Tulsa Sultans, kicking things off from 6:00pm at Colne & Nelson Rugby Club!

Then at 8pm we have the brilliant Stockportugal Blues Experience

Expect big blues, great music and a fantastic atmosphere as we launch what promises to be an unforgettable weekend. 🎶🍻

We’re proud to stand alongside the East Lancashire Foundation as they launch a fantastic new charity dedicated to breaking down barriers to sport for every age group.

At Colne and Nelson RUFC, community is at the heart of everything we do, and this initiative reflects exactly what we believe in: creating opportunities, improving wellbeing, and making sport accessible for all.

🎸 THE GREAT BRITISH RHYTHM & BLUES FESTIVAL 🎶

Get ready for five fantastic days of live Rhythm & Blues this August Bank Holiday!

From Thursday 27th August to Monday 31st August 2026, we’re bringing an incredible line-up of talented blues artists to Colne & Nelson Rugby Club, with music from afternoon through to late evening.

🍺 Enjoy a great selection of hand-pulled cask beers, a fully stocked bar, and a fantastic atmosphere throughout the festival.

Whether you’ve supported our events for years or you’re joining us for the very first time, we can’t wait to welcome old faces and new for an unforgettable weekend of live music, great beer and great company.

What an unbelievable day once again!!

Another packed day at the club for our second ‘The Nathan Summersgill-Smith Memorial Day 2026’! We couldn’t have asked for better weather too!

A massive thank you to everyone that came and supported the day.

A couple of shout outs and thank you’s to the following people!

Our organising committee - Greg, Ben, Rhys, Gary, Craig, Josie, Andy and Louise, who all had to deal with me for the past 12 months hounding them.

Our sponsors - Macadams (barbarians shirts), FuelSafeUK (match balls), Handforth Electrical LTD (music) and Healthier Heroes.

All of the local businesses and people who donated raffle prizes, everyone was extremely generous!

Our 8 teams who participated in our touch tournament - Colne & Nelson, Millsey’s Men, North Ribblesdale, Hoppers Women, Skipton RFC, Burnley RUFC and Pendle Firefighters. Along with our officials who kindly donated their time throughout the entire day! and to for capturing the day!

Once again, to our lovely Marines who came from all over the country to play, and every single one of our barbarians players who pulled on a shirt again.
