Tomorrow, more than 500 young riders from across Scotland will take to the trails at Comrie Croft for SSMBC 2026. 🏔️🚴‍♂️

We’re delighted to share this message from Mrs Precious, Rector at Morrison’s Academy, wishing all the riders the very best of luck ahead of race day. 🍀

SSMBC is a fantastic partnership between Morrison’s Academy, Comrie Croft and Scottish Cycling, bringing schools together for a day of mountain biking, racing and, most importantly, having fun on the trails.

Heading to SSMBC 2026? Comrie Croft has you covered, whether you’re here to race or cheer from the sidelines. 🌲

☕ Gorse Café | 8:30am–4pm
Breakfast rolls served until 2:30pm, plus coffees, soft drinks, sausage rolls, soups and grab-and-go snacks throughout the day. Perfect for keeping hungry riders, families & cheer squads fuelled!

🥐 The Farmshop | 9am–5pm
Stock up on fresh pastries, takeaway hot drinks, sweet & savoury snacks, organic fruit & veg, and a few gifts to take home.

🚲 Comrie Croft Bikes | 9am–5pm
Everything you need from a small bike shop, plus mechanics onsite for quick, last-minute repairs. (Full servicing won’t be possible during the event.)

We've got a packed schedule on the cards once again and we can't wait to see you there! Remember if you're in the S5/6 race category, you don't need to register until 12.30- 1300.

🚴 Entries for this year’s SSMBCs are officially CLOSED - and what a response we’ve had.

We’re expecting around 500 riders, from 98 schools across Scotland to compete this year, with 20% of entries from girls. It’s fantastic to see so many young people wanting to get involved and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to the event.

⚠️ Important note for schools, parents and riders still looking for a place: we are sorry but we cannot take any more entries.

If you missed out this year, entries for SSMBC 2027 open in February 📅, so there’s another chance to get involved. If your school isn’t already taking part, encourage them to get involved next year by contacting [email protected] to register.

We look forward to seeing all our racers on race day. 🏁
