Just over 3 years ago to the day - A picture of Congresbury Men’s A team captured at the half way point with our opponents Avenue A, then in Division 3 of The North Somerset Tennis League. We went on to win the division that year.

It was the first fixture of NSTL tonight but we didn’t get a team photo.

Thank you everyone at the tennis club who helped yesterday witht the club tidy-up day. We got a lot of work done including painting the 3 new layers on the tennis wall, reinforcing the patched holes in the fence in preparation for the new astro resurfacting, trimming the hedges next to the courts, w**d killing and clearance around the bottom of the courts, and a bit of tidying up in the club house...

Get a an ITF World Tennis Number - members of Congresbury Tennis Club can now join the LTA (for free) and get a tennis ranking - and we'll be applying it to our singles box league and future club championships. For each game the LTA predicts the outcome and if you do better than the predicted outcome your ranking goes up! More information coming soon...

Do you know what Walking Tennis is? It's for people who like the idea of playing tennis but who cannot run. Perhaps you used to play tennis but don't want to put the strain on your limbs, perhaps you are overweight and aren't ready to run but want to get fitter, or perhaps you have an injury that prevents you from running?

Not all our children can go on to win the US Open (there's only one a year to go around), but for the rest of us the benefits are fantastic; fitness, health, community but also great for learning about success and failure and striving to succeed.
