Today, we say goodbye to a truly remarkable man whose dedication to Consett Delta Boxing Club touched the lives of so many.

For years, he gave his time, his knowledge, and his heart to the club, inspiring generations of young boxers both inside and outside the ring. He was a mentor, a role model, and a constant source of encouragement for anyone who walked through the gym doors.

His passion for boxing was matched only by his commitment to the young people he believed in. Through his guidance, countless boxers gained confidence, discipline, respect, and friendships that will last a lifetime.

His legacy will live on in every boxer he inspired, every lesson he taught, and every life he helped shape. Consett Delta won’t be the same without him, but his influence will always be part of the club’s heart.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family, friends, and everyone at Consett Delta Boxing Club. Rest in peace mick. You will never be forgotten. 🥊❤️

Reminder boxing will be on tonight but finishing early for the football.
6-7pm

The boxing will be on tomorrow evening but it will be on from 6pm and will finish at 7pm. The match will start at 8pm so this will give everyone plenty of time to get home in time to see England win. So please come along and join in £2 adults £1 kids

Our longest standing committee member has sadly passed away early hours of this morning and as a sign of respect Consett Delta abc will be closed tonight. I apologise for any inconvenience

Just wanted to say massive well done to everyone there tonight busiest gym been for weeks and was a hard sweaty night but everyone did great. Wanted a photo but time rang out so see you all Wednesday well done

Just to let everyone know consett delta are not associated with consett abc
We are a lil annoyed as we were once consett abc but merged into consett delta for location reasons!
We have no hard feelings towards the new boxing gym but want none of our followers to get us mistaken

We are consetts longest running boxing gym and have been going since 1970 and still do it for love of the sport we are a non profit organisation ran by experienced coaches

Prices are £2 adults £1 children. We are not a business we a a community gym. If anyone wants to join we are open mon wed and Fri 6-7.30 thank you
