What an afternoon for the Conwy Knights at the Llandudno Junction tournament… EUROPA LEAGUE WINNERS 2026 🍊⚽️🏆

Our first ever piece of silverware — and what a feeling. We started at the bottom, built step by step, and look at us now. What a team. What a family. What a journey to be part of.

These are the moments the boys — and us parents — will remember for the rest of our lives. Seeing them celebrate without a care in the world… nothing comes close to that feeling.
And of course, we never do it the easy way. That semi‑final was something else, missing the pen, the drama of the shootout, Elijah’s save — you couldn’t write it. Then the final… strong, brave, on the front foot, and Thomas smashing in the winner.

We grew into the tournament, found our rhythm, and the boys showed exactly who they are. I’m unbelievably proud of every single one of them. And to you parents — you’re brilliant. Me and Rob couldn’t ask for better support.

Coach Matt 💭… Last game of the season today and it was a tough one.
We struggled with the conditions for the first couple of quarters and saw Glan Conwy take the lead with two goals — definitely a slow start for us, but if there’s one thing this team has built this season, it’s a never‑say‑die attitude. They never fold, they never sulk, they just get back to work. And once again, they fought their way back into it 💪🏻
Harrison with an absolute bullet, and Blake with a classy finish (shot or cross… he says shot 😂jurys out 😂).
Grayson took POM and fully deserved it — so much ability in those feet, and he never stops running. A joy to watch 👌🏻

A massive thank you to all the parents — rain, wind, snow, sun — you’re always there. Your lads are a credit to you. Couldn’t ask for a better group.

Coach Rob 💭 …. It’s been a fantastic season. Back in September we were just hoping to score a goal or keep games close. Now we go into every match expecting to compete and give anyone a proper game. The development has been unreal, and the best part is… we’re only just getting started. My first full season coaching and I’ve loved every minute (maybe not the tight 4th quarters 😂). Thanks for all the support — Matt and I couldn’t do it without you.

Really proud of the boys this morning. After a big day yesterday, following on from the Conwy Tournament, it’s great to see the team still have fire in their bellies to put in a good shift and get a strong result.

⚽️🏅Conwy Borough Tournament ⚽️🏅

What a day for the Conwy Knights U9s yesterday at the Conwy Borough Tournament. Gloriously hot sunshine, five tough group games, and the lads absolutely grafted from the first whistle to the last.

We finished 2nd in our group and 4th out of 12 teams overall, earning a spot in the Champions League semi‑finals. The boys faced a strong Nantlle Vale A side and narrowly lost 1–0, but what an achievement to get that far.

To think where we were last year… finishing 2nd in the group is incredible progress. Reaching a Champions League semi-final is something they should be massively proud of. Being in the mix with teams of that level shows just how far this group has come — and we’re only getting started.

The lads were class all day. Great mindsets, huge effort, and in that heat too. They left everything out there.

Thank you to all the parents for the support — it means the world. We’ve got a brilliant bunch of players and an equally brilliant set of parents behind them. Not something you find everywhere, so thank you for your commitment to the Knights 🍊⚽️🙌🏻

Finally, a huge thankyou to all those involved at organising a great day yesterday at Conwy Borough FC Juniors - cracking day, well organised and ran smoothly, it was great to be apart of it! 👏🍊⚽️

Huge credit to the boys on Sunday afternoon at the Bob Lloyd Tournament. Their effort, commitment and desire spoke for itself from the very first whistle. They were brilliant in the group stage and fully earned their place in the knockouts.

The way we went out was a horrible one to take, but that’s football. What matters is how they responded — Resilient and a level of performance that shows just how far they’ve come since last year. In games where we’ve struggled before, the boys stood tall, controlled the match and showed the progress they’ve made through hard work and belief.

Tournament season is upon us, with plenty more football to be played and plenty more chances for this group to show what they’re about.

🟠⚽ Conwy Knights vs Llandudno FC ⚽🟠

The Knights took on a very talented Llandudno side last night, with the game brought forward ahead of this weekend’s Bob Lloyd Tournament at the Blue Turtle Arena.

Across the first two quarters the boys absolutely held their own. Apart from a bit of loose passing, we matched them in every department and the effort was superb. Nothing to be disheartened about at all.

The last two quarters were a different story as we lost a bit of balance and organisation — that’s on us as coaches to explain things better. Credit to Llandudno, their movement was relentless.

Plenty of positives heading into Sunday though. We face them again and with 10‑minute games, anything can happen. The knights first of the upcoming summer tournaments 🎖️⚽️🏆

⭐ Player of the Match: Elijah – excellent attitude, alert, ready when called upon in goal. The score sheet a lot more favourable this time round since playing them previously, Elijah was peppered in the goal at times, making some cracking saves! Big well done to him 👏

🍊⚽️ Conwy Knights U9 vs Conwy Devils U9

Huge well done to the boys this morning — another strong performance and a job well done. Despite the windy, rainy, not‑so‑favourable weather, the lads got stuck in and turned it into a proper grassroots game of footy, the weather didn’t hold them back. Every single one of them showed commitment and desire from the first whistle.

The highlight for me today was the clean sheet. Our defensive line was outstanding throughout — Thomas and Hunter were solid and organised, and Elijah stepped up with important early saves to keep us steady before the team took full control.

Credit to the Devils, they kept going right to the end and showed real resilience.
