On Wednesday 10 December we had a special visit from the main man himself, Mr S Claus. Santa made time from his busy schedule to meet all the service users and some very excited staff and gifted some selection boxes ahead of the big day.

This year we decided to raise money for Children in Need. Throughout the month of October service users undertook a sponsored walking challenge, their aim was to complete 25 miles. Then on the day of Children in Need we held a tea/coffee morning with buns and treats. Service users and staff helped with baking (and eating) and even took some home. A big thank you to Stephen Mallon, EuroSpar, Moneymore, and Conways Centra Littlebridge, who kindly donated buns and treats for the morning. This all helped us raise an astonishing £1200 for the charity. Thank you to all who kindly sponsored and to those who bought buns and finally to all the staff and service users for their help and generosity.

Summer garden party
We held our second annual garden party with the theme being Alice in Wonderland and it was such a success. Again, we were lucky with the weather and some old favourites made a welcome return, including Paul’s ice-creams, photo-booth and the Pinata. This year we had live music and entertainment provided by Karen Diamond, who made sure we all had a singalong. We were able to have our lunch in the garden under our gazebos and finish the day of with plenty of games.

Room 5 had their Summer trip to the Tobin Centre in Moortown where they took part in recreational games and used the amazing Multisensory room which everyone loved!
After our busy morning, we headed to B’s Griddle for lunch
