A perfect weekend!
The 1's returned to winning ways with an impressive 63-run victory over Chappel & Wakes Colne 1st XI after posting a commanding 292/7 from their 45 overs.
Craig Sampson starred with a superb 131, laying the foundation for the innings, while Tom Helmer provided the perfect finish with an unbeaten 58. In reply, Chappel & Wakes Colne were restricted to 229/9, as Copford's bowlers maintained control throughout the chase. Tom Helmer capped an outstanding all-round performance by taking 3/24, while Tom Lawson claimed 2/34, helping secure a deserved and convincing win for the home side.
The 2's produced an excellent all-round performance to secure a convincing seven-wicket victory over Maldon 3rd XI. After dismissing the visitors for 146 in 33 overs.
Callum Owen led the bowling attack superbly with 4/29, while Harry Blanke provided outstanding support with 3/27 to put Copford firmly in control. Chasing 147 for victory, Martin Vinter anchored the innings with a composed 71, and Rasheed Butt added a valuable 24 as Copford reached 147/3 in just 25.1 overs, completing a comfortable win with plenty of overs to spare.
The 3's capped off the weekend with a victory against Eight Ash Green.
