I will be closing today at 11am so I’m open between 9-11 (19th September)

Moving forward and with effect from 26th September my new Saturday opening times are 9am until 10.30am for walk-in collections.

This is due to delivery locations changing

If anyone is struggling with these times please let me know and we can try and sort something now.

Can I ask a question:

Is there any other feed company/shop where you can order at 7.30pm on a Thursday and get it delivered by 10am Friday the following day (talking 1-4 bags of feed)

Just curious if you know if any other company who offers this service?

This is such a relevant point, why would anyone building a new yard and stick to the traditional 12x12 stables.

The good question is what is a good size and set up for a stable?

I’m thinking at least 14x18 with open door at the back and areas you can have open between stables to allow contact for grooming etc

Something to be mindful of, I’m seeing far more tubby horses at the minute so just be mindful that the grass they do have is likely to be very high sugar grass that can cause huge issues especially when that rain finally comes

Yes the image is AI ! But the scenario isn’t

In the U.K. just now we have a lot of burned off pasture yet many horses are more than keeping weight on, it’s likely that whatever green (ish) grass that’s available to them is very highly stressed and packed with sugar, if your horse isn’t loosing weight or worse still getting fatter then maybe consider asking your vet for a blood profile?

When rain finally does arrive, even in a small amount, for these horses it’s likely to only go one way and not for the better

Prevention beats cure every time
