These photos feature the historic West Side Tennis Club in New York, also known as Forest Hills, for many years home of the US titles.

Top is the 1937 US Davis Cup team and bottom right is former world top 10, Sweden's Mikael Pernfors, with his Grays 'Mystique'.

We were thrilled a few years ago to receive this photo, taken on one of the most historic and beautiful courts in America - indeed the world - at Newport, Rhode Island, home of the first US championships and today the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

Our partner Wood Tennis Club is donating another antique Grays tennis racket to the Grays Collection.

It's a fine example of H.J. Gray & Sons' c1902 'The Mellor' which recently was owned by the renowned collector Siegfried Kuebler.

Pictured together with the racket is a Grays advertisement for 'The Mellor' from a 1914 brochure.

Purchasers of a new Grays wood racket today are buying a small piece of English sporting history.
