TSM RACING – BPEC SUPER PRO OVERALL CHAMPIONS

Warden Law was the swan song for TSM racing as Tom, Seb & I go our sperate ways in 2025 after 3-years of racing together.

It’s been an era of great success for us, including a 2022/23 BPEC winter clubman championship at our first attempt which saw us instantly promoted to the Pro class.
In our first season as the higher level, we surprised many by finishing on the podium on 9 out of 10 occasions, including 4 wins to secure the class championship, earning another promotion.

This season in Super Pro has seen us take 6 podiums (2 wins) as the championship went down to the wire in both the 6hr & the overall class standings.

This weekend we knew that finishing within 10-places of Rosso Corsa would secure us the overall class championship but we would need to beat them to win the 6hr championship as well.

Seb put us on row 8 in qualifying but was taken out at the first corner, dropping us to 38th. In a stint of 1hr20mins he worked his way back up to P14 & with the exception of pitstops we ran around this position throughout the race. Unfortunately for us, Rosso Corsa were a few places in front, running 2nd in class & we couldn’t quite catch them to wrestle the 6hr championship from their grasp.

The TSM era ends with a Super Pro overall championship win & a 2nd in the 6hr Championship with Rosso Corsa in alternating positions in both championships.
It’s been a close battle with them & I wish them all the best for 2025.

Thank you to all my sponsors who have helped me go racing in 2024, I couldn’t do it without you & I hope our journey continues into 2025.

Finally, a huge thank you to Seb & Tom for being superb teammates over the past few seasons, I don’t think anyone could have predicted the success we’ve had as a team!

Well that's it folks! All good things come to an end. Today was #181 TSM Racing's last race and the last race of the season.Ā

In our first year competing in the Super Pro category, we narrowly missed out on winning the 6hr championship but we still finished as 2024 Super Pro overall champions! Couldn't ask for a better way to finish before my break from karting.Ā Ā

It's been a great few years with the team, created loads of memories. Thanks for everything guys!

Quick race weekend update and an announcement!

BPEC penultimate round at Llandow this weekend. It was a very frustrating weekend for the TSM team, not much went our way and with 3 badly timed full course yellow not helping us at all. Ended the race in P4 in class, meaning we head into the last race of the season 2nd place in the championship. A small number of points separate the top 4 teams, so the last race will be critical for everyone! It's been a really good season overall and I couldn’t ask for a better end to what will likely be my last race for some time....

I am absolutely delighted to have started my engineering course at the Newcastle Aviation Academy, however it means I cannot commit to being part of a team for a full season due to all of the commitments involved for the first 2 years of the course.

So from the end of the season I will be ā€œretiringā€ from BPEC for a year or two. I may occasionally do the odd round if a team needs to fill a seat, so might be around from time to time.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my parents for the huge amount of support over the last 5 years. I would also like to thank Barry, Max & Thomas for the last 3 and a bit seasons. Whatever happens next, we have built up some great memories to share for years to come.

Roll on the final BPEC round at Wardens Law in 3 weeks’ time.

Here's a few shots from the British 24 hour a couple of weeks ago. Was great to race in dry conditions after complete wash outs for the races the previous two years.

Special thanks to Barry Shields for the photos šŸ‘Œ

What a result in the British 24h, we won the Pro class and came 3rd overall.

The British 24h is not an easy race with the owner drivers and hire karts racing together. There were 89 in all: 26 owners & 63 hires. You really have to concentrate hard to navigate the hires while maintaining a decent pace. We managed an average pace of 72.6mph which I thought was pretty decent.

It was a privilege to race in our team with such a bunch of great drivers. So happy with the result, particularly given the lost laps to replace our steering wheel when it broke in the middle of the night.

Special thanks to our dads, particularly my dad and Barry for spannering the kart and manning the radios. And a big thank you to my team mates Max Shields, Tom Braid, Ronnie Smith, Blake Checketts & Jack Morris (Teesside Stig).
