Following Roy’s funeral yesterday, and a send off truly fit for the man - the family were keen to acknowledge his passing at a City game.

His family have bought tickets specifically and he will have many friends, colleagues and associates in the crowd against Derby this Friday night.

The club had been contacted to see if a message could go on the scoreboard, but to no avail unfortunately as the situation has changed in terms of remembrance following a passing of a fan.

Roy was a big City fan, as well as playing football locally and managing/coaching grassroots teams all of his life.

Can we honour Roy and give a minutes applause in the 28th minute - this was the date he was born and the date he passed away - on Friday evening under the lights versus Derby.

Please share far and wide so as many Sky Blues get to see this message in order to pay tribute to one of the best.
