The season is over & what a season it was!!
This group of U9 girls were the first ever team from the club to compete in the Coventry & Warwickshire Girls Football League.
After just 6 games, the girls were promoted to the Premier Division playing the best teams in the Warwickshire region for their age groups.
Every week they turned up & played through the best weather this country could offer & came out winning game after game.
In the end, the girls lost just 2 games in the Premier Division & came up with 2nd best record during the league campaign.
We are all so proud of the girls!! We are also so thankful for all the parents who took their girls to Birmingham, West Bromwich, Sutton Coldfield & Redditch in the cold & rain, week after week.
Thankyou also to Gills Premier for sponsoring the team!!
As a result of this year, there maybe some exciting news coming soon....
Keep your eyes open 👀

Sharing this great news about a young carer from Coventry who is a finalist in the Who Cares Wins Award!!
Sharondeep Sahota cares for Grandparents & provides services to the City's homeless on a regular basis & is up for the Young Hero award!!!
What a great inspiration she is to ALL of us!!!
She will be featured in tonights Who Cares Wins awards on Channel 4 at 730pm!!
Please support her!!!
On Tuesday 14th September one of our young carers Sharandeep Sahota will be joining team YC’s Mark and Rhupinder at the Who Cares Wins awards in London, where is has been selected as a finalist in ‘Young Hero Category’. They will be hob nobbing with stars such as David Beckham, Spice Girls and Anthony Joshua. Sharandeep will also meet The Prime Minister Boris Johnson at a pre-awards reception.
Sharandeep cares for her grandparents and has also dedicated any spare time she has to helping to feed Coventry’s homeless, using her own money to buy and prepare food.
She was nominated for the Young Hero award by Mark Graham, Young Carers Wellbeing Team Leader
Who said: “Young carers have huge responsibilities and a lot of them don’t even think about themselves much
“Sharandeep acts as her grandmother’s eyes and helps her out with so much. When she started accessing our Young Carer services it hadn’t even really occurred to her to think of herself as a young carer.
“She’s brilliant though, not only is she incredibly helpful and kind, she’s really generous with the other young people who come along.”
Shy Sharandeep admitted she was shocked to hear about her nomination.
She said: “I couldn’t believe it when I heard. Mark’s amazing and helps so many young carers, the groups he runs give young people a chance to be themselves for a while and not think about the responsibilities they have at home.
The awards ceremony will be shown on Channel 4 ( date to be confirmed)

Coventry Warriors - Gurdwara GNP Football Club
It was a great honour to be invited to a Coventry City Of Culture 2021 Inter-Faith event today. The event was highlighting diversity, inclusivity & equality in our great City!!
The Falcons joined groups from many other communities & were invited to represent the community to showcase girls football.
Our message to the audience was that we encourage & support the City's girls from all communities to get involved with sports - whether with our club or any other club, support them, encourage them & get them enjoying the game!!!
Thankyou to Manjit Kaur for organising such a wonderful event 👏👏👏👏👏

This Saturday the girls below make history!!
They will become the first all girls team that the club enters into the Central Warwickshire Girls Football League!
The majority of the kids had never played the game until the Summer of 2019, and then like everyone else, they then had to then sit back for a year while we were all in Lockdown.
The start of 2021 saw even more girls arrive who wanted to learn how to play & join the squad.
The demand & enthusiasm from the girls & their parents to enter the team into the league has been brilliant to see!!
From literally never playing the game to wanting to enter the league, to play against well established players & teams, shows how much they now love the game!!
We wish them all the best this season!!!
And to add..... because of these girls, there is now a flood of girls who now want to play the game & are following in their footsteps!!! The U9s will also begin their journey this weekend!!!
No matter what happens they will always be known as the FIRST - Pioneers!!
