Weekend round up

Saturday saw our A team entertain a strong Atherstone Cons team who no doubt will be in the shake up for the league title at the end of the season. A great 8-4 win by the team at home continues a strong start to the season.

Our B team travelled to Atherstone Cons to face their B team but unfortunately lost the game 8-4 although they do still hold 2nd place in the Saturday 3rd division

Moving on to the Sunday league, our A team started the season with a thumping 6-0 win over Standard.

Our B team drew 3-3 on matches with Coundon A but they took the extra points for the win by 12 shots overall

The coming week sees fixtures on our green on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday so if you’re looking to sit and watch a game while enjoying a drink, feel free to join us from 6.30pm

Mixed fortunes for the Walsgrave teams in the latest round of Midweek fixtures.

Our A team travelled to Atherstone Cons and unfortunately came away empty handed, and not having a single winner.

The B team faired much better with their first win of the season over a strong Attleborough team. A nail biting end to the game saw us win the game 5-3 and take the 2 extra points for the home win.

Our C team going down 8-3 to Stockingford, but our D team did not have a fixture this week.

Back for another Saturday season, Karl Shanks gets his new shirt ready for our first A team game of the season at Newdigate.

With no Midweek fixtures this week, we concentrate on the Thursday league.

Our A team will be hoping to improve their start to the season as they host Foleshill Gas Bowls Club at home.

The B team make the journey over to Kenilworth hoping to continue their winning start to the season.

Our C team have already played their fixture and had a great win at home vs Bedworth Ex with 7 winners out of the 8 games to sit in 2nd place with 3 games played.

B team have taken to the green in Nuneaton in the Saturday 3rd division today hoping to continue their good form.

Midweek round up

A team travelled over to Haunchwood to take on their B team, winning 9-2.

B team played their first home game of the season against Haunchwood A, losing 1-10.

C team played at home against Newdigate losing 3-8

D team travelled to Lime Tree and claimed a 5-6 win

Saturday season starts today

Our B team have started their campaign in division 3 today against Standard.

A mix of weather with sun one minute but rain the next hasn’t stopped the game or put anyone off today with plenty of supporters watching.

To round off the Midweek action, our C team travelled to Coundon to take on their B team on the bottom green.

Great wins for OB and Arthur (who thinks it may have been his first win on that green in a hundred attempts 😆) saw the boys pick up 2 points on their travels with Coundon taking 8 points.

Tonight we have a cup match on a neutral venue, good look to the Wallys playing tonight

“A” team take the win in season opener!

A massive thunder storm 30 minutes didn’t stop the A team taking the win over the newly promoted B team in Midweek Premier 1.

Mark Orme taking the win in the battle of the captains and Dylan romping home 21-11 after a slow start which saw him fall a few shots behind before showing his true potential.

The “A”’s didn’t have it all their own way though with B team newcomers Leon & “Ski” picking up notable wins but ultimately the A’s stormed to a 6-2 win.

The A team head over to Nuneaton for their next game with a trip to Haunchwood, who’s other team arrive at our green to take on the B’s
