Many early humans were coastal dwellers.
That means that our bodies have the ‘genetic expectation’ of sea food being included in our diets.
So.
That’s why tonight i devoured some mussels and squid tentacles as a starter…
….before moving onto my course of chicken and egg.
Now.
I know a lot of you will be thinking:
“How the f**k can you eat squid tentacles, mussels, chicken and egg all in the same meal!!??”🤮🤮🤮
Well.
Here’s the deal.
Primal man (whose genetics are exactly the same as yours) didn’t give a f**k what foods went with what.
All he gave a f**k about was eating the foods that would turn him into an absolute f**king specimen of a human being and thus enable him to keep himself and his family alive in the harshest environment imaginable!😳
And.
(as the theory goes)
If you eat the EXACT same foods….
…..and combine it with a primal style exercise routine….
….then you too will become an absolute f**king specimen of a human being 👊👊👊

Carnivore Diet - Day 4
So.
After experimenting with reintroducing honey and fruit back into my diet last week, and knocking myself out of Ketosis….
….I checked my blood ketone levels yesterday and I’m back in after 3 days as a Carnivore 🥩
Today I’ve experienced a more notable elevation in my mood and energy….
….and my performance in the primal workouts I’ve been doing have been as good as ever…
….I’ve been strong throughout my strength workouts and fast (for a 45 year old!) in my sprint drills.
I’ve lost 2kg in weight and 2cm from around my waist (although weight loss is not my reason for doing this!)
And.
Best of all.
For the first time since Monday morning.
I’ve done a lovely great big specimen of a poo that was almost perfect for size, shape and consistency 😊👍
Seriously though - when you change your diet, a pause in bowel movements is perfectly normal.
There’s a big difference between a natural pause (there’s no discomfort) and constipation ☹️

Incase you didn’t know….
Vitamin C is (supposedly) the ONLY vitamin/mineral that cannot be obtained from meat.
So.
That begs the question:
“Lee - what the f**k are you doing about Vitamin C on this carnivore diet of yours?”
Because.
As you may know.
Vit C is needed for all kinds of important s**t, such as:
> a strong immune system.
> collagen formation.
> absorption of iron.
> anti-oxidant actions.
> healing of wounds.
> mood regulation.
Well.
Let me tell you what I’m NOT doing.
I’m NOT doing what vegans do and taking a supplement - and then claiming that my diet is a healthy one!🙄
So.
Here’s the deal….
Meat, organs, eggs and seafood DO contain Vitamin C!!!!!
BUT.
Only in tiny, tiny amounts.
However.
Here is the f**king clever bit…..
When you eat a carnivore diet, you only need tiny, tiny amounts of Vitamin C in your food.
Because.
When you eat a carnivore diet.
You are eating a very, very limited amount of carbs….
…..and eating carbs makes it difficult for the body to absorb Vitamin C from food.
But.
When you eat meat, organs, eggs, seafood and literally nothing else….
….you don’t have to worry about that….
…..because your body can utilise the very small amounts that are in your food (due to your very low carb intake).
So.
As they say.
“Every day is a school day!”
And that’s why I’m frying up a bit of liver every couple of days and having a piece with every meal (good for extra Vitamin C).
24/08/2022
I’ve had a few people asking me about this Carnivore Diet.
The most common questions so far:
1. How many times per day are you eating?
2. What are your other meals consisting of?
3. Isn’t it expensive?
Well….
I’m currently eating just twice per day in an approx. 17-7 fasting/eating pattern.
Please note - I’m not making a deliberate effort to fast….
…..I’m just eating as and when i feel I need to, and this is turning out to be around 13.00 and 20.00.
Also - I’m eating literally nothing in between these meals, purely because I just don’t feel hungry and am not craving anything👍.
I’ll cover the last two questions with one answer….
As you can imagine, the Carnivore Diet can get expensive!
So.
For my 13.00 meal.
I’m having 2 x homemade fortified beef burgers, and 2-3 eggs.
I make the burgers out of mince (20% fat) that’s costs £1.67 per pack in Tesco (1 pack makes 4 x burgers)…..
….and I fortify them with just an ounce or two of liver that costs £6 per kilo from my local butcher!
My eggs are Tescos own brand free range eggs and are a couple of quid per 6….
….a little bit more of an expense but I can buy these out of the money I’m saving on fruit, vegetables, coffee, almond milk, protein powder etc; so it’s actually working out far cheaper! 💰 💰 💰

The Carnivore Diet - Day 2
Dinner.
2 x pork cutlets.
2 x eggs.
It doesn’t look like much, but there’s about 1300 calories of healthy fats and protein there, plus lots of essential micro nutrients 👍
So.
How am I feeling?
Well….
> I’ve had a slight headache. I normally drink 3-5 coffees per day but I’ve completely eliminated them.
I think the headache is caffeine withdrawal!🙈
But.
Other than that.
I’m feeling pretty good!
> I’m feeling full.
> I’m not having food cravings.
> I’ve had a couple of better nights sleep.
> energy levels are good - no adverse affects at all on my training.
> cognitive function/mental energy - difficult to give an honest assessment as I’ve been sleep deprived for the last 7 months!
Will reserve judgment on this till the end of the 3 weeks.
Finally.
If you missed yesterday’s post and am wondering what I’m up to….
I’ve pledged to go full ‘carnivore’ for 21 days.
> meat
> eggs
> water
That’s it for 3 whole weeks!
Let’s see what happens when you eat almost the exact opposite to what your doctor tells you to eat!😉
23/08/2022
Meat is the most bio-available source of:
> zinc
> magnesium
> copper
> cobalt
> phosphorus
> nickel
> selenium
> chromium
Plants can actually block the absorption of these minerals into the body, making meat the better way to get them into your diet.
Zinc in particular is a common deficiency amongst veggies and vegans.
Unfortunately for them Zinc is vital for a healthy immune system, as well as the creation of DNA, cell growth, muscle and tissue repair, and the building of proteins.
Please don’t be fooled by the current mainstream narrative.
A plant based diet isn’t a healthy diet when compared to an animal based diet.
A plant based diet only appears healthy when compared to the ‘Processed Crap Diet’ which is what most people eat these day ☹️

Another big ‘well done’ is in order!
My PT client Taylor has hit the 1 stone lost mark after 4.5 weeks.
Congratulations Tay and well done again!
And remember folks:
> NO hard workouts.
> NO calorie counting or going hungry.
If you remove refined sugars, refined carbohydrates and industrialised seed oils from your diet, and combine that with regular but low/medium intensity exercise, then you turn your body into a 24/7 fat burning machine.
And not only that!
Other benefits include:
> increased energy levels.
> improved cognitive function.
> a strong immune system.
> lower cortisol levels (stress).
> minimised disease risk.

A quick ‘Before’ picture before I go into full on ‘Carnivore Mode’ for the next 3 weeks!
Weight: 92kg
Waist: 90cm
Here’s the deal….
As you’ll know if you follow my content.
I completely eliminated refined sugars, refined carbohydrates, and industrialised seed oils from my diet about 3 years ago now - and the results were amazing.
I’d never felt better - physically or mentally - in my life!
So.
I then began following a more primal/paleo nutritional lifestyle - and felt even better.
I progressed to Keto - and felt even better still!
So.
I thought to myself.
Is it possible to feel EVEN BETTER than this?
So.
I read up on two different trains of thought that were supposed to be a progression from Keto.
1. The Animal Based Diet.
2. The Carnivore Diet.
Now.
BOTH of these lifestyles involve completely removing vegetables from the diet (don’t forget - plants are trying to kill you!)
However.
On the Animal Based Diet.
You eat meat, complimented with NATURAL (NOT REFINED) carbohydrates in the form of fruit and honey.
You also consume raw milk and kefir to maintain good gut health.
That sounded good.
So, I gave it a try for 1 week.
It wasn’t for me.
1. It took me out of Ketosis, and so my energy and cognitive function dropped off slightly.
2. Eating the sweet fruits made me crave more, and I was in danger of overeating (it’s perfectly possible to get fat on fruit!).
3. I was worried that the cravings for more fruit would have eventually led to cravings for chocolate and sweets!
Now.
You could argue that I should have stuck at it for longer.
But I’m pretty tuned in with my body by now and just knew it wasn’t for me.
So.
That left me with the infamous ‘Carnivore Diet’!
Now.
There are various different versions of this around.
However.
Me being me.
I’ve decide to try out the most extreme version:
1. Meat.
2. Eggs.
3. Water.
That’s it.
That’s literally all you can eat.
No cheese, no cream, no berries, no coffee, no red wine - no f**k all!
You can consume absolutely NOTHING except meat, eggs and water!
So.
My plan is to test this up until I go on holiday on 10th September.
If it becomes apparent that it’s not for me before then - I’ll sack it off and go back to regular Keto.
But.
I’ll be interested to see what happens if I can stick with this for the next 21 days!
Anyway.
Day 1 is almost over.
I’m feeling energised, clear headed and, most importantly, NOT hungry!
So watch this space,
I’ll keep you all updated on my progress! 👊👊👊

You should read this book.
Here’s why.
Most of you folks reading this will KNOW what you need to do to improve your life.
Problem is.
You don’t f**king do it.
You procrastinate and instead seek instant gratification.
i.e.
You’ll decide to watch TV instead of studying that online course you signed up to 18 months ago!
This book explains all about WHY you do that.
It explains all about how stress, a lack of sleep, a s**t diet, and not spending enough time outdoors, all contribute towards you consistently making decisions that are NOT in your long term best interests.
It’s a very interesting read and explains a lot about how and why modern society is going the way it is 🙈

You’ll find this interesting….
There is an area of your brain called the ‘Cerebral Cortex’.
There is another area of your brain called the ‘Limbic Brain.”
The Cerebral Cortex is what gives us the ability to:
> think analytically and logically.
> problem solve.
> plan for the future.
> think abstractly.
> consider the consequences of our actions (both good and bad).
On the flip side, the Limbic Brain is responsible for compulsive reactions….
….it makes us do things instinctively and without thought.
This isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
It’s actually a requirement for survival.
For example.
The Limbic Brain is responsible for the ‘flight or fight response’.
It makes you either run or fight when faced with a danger - without having to waste vital seconds thinking about it!
Now.
(I’ll try and get to my point)
When you are mostly using your Cerebral Cortex….
….you make sound, logical decisions that are in your long term best interests.
However.
When you are mostly using your Limbic Brain….
….you make poorly thought out decisions that are in your immediate short term interests.
For example.
Let’s say you hate your job.
And you make the decision to spend your evenings and weekends working another job so that you can save up the money you need to start your own business.
That would be a decision you made in your Cerebral Cortex, because you are thinking, planning strategically, and doing what’s best for your long term future.
However.
If you hate your job, but you spend your evenings scrolling through your phone, watching box sets and generally arsing around.
That would be a decision made in the Limbic Brain, because your are seeking instant gratification.
You are doing what makes you feel good in the short term, at the expense of your future long term happiness.
So.
Obviously.
If you want to have a good life.
It stands to reason that you need to spend as little time as possible thinking with your Limbic Brain…
…and spend as much time as possible thinking with your Cerebral Cortex.
So.
Why is that so many people these days prioritise instant gratification over their long term good?
Well.
I’ll tell you.
These are some of the things that cause people to get stuck in the Limbic Brain:
1. Chronic stress.
2. Sleep deprivation.
3. The consumption of sugars, refined carbohydrates and industrialised seed oils.
4. A lack of exposure to the natural world.
So.
Take it from me.
If you:
> meditate daily.
> start going to bed earlier.
> remove sugars and refined carbohydrates from your diet.
> and go for a walk in the woods once or twice per week.
I promise you that you will spend more time thinking with your Cerebral Cortex and have a much better life….
….because you will stop seeking instant gratification and start doing more things that are in your long term best interests.
Hard to believe?
Well just give it a try and see what happens😉.

A quick accountability and progress check in with Gail this morning :
3.5 weeks into the programme….
….and Gail has just hit the milestone of 1st lost! 😳
Congratulations and well done Gail!
REMEMBER:
All of the results I attain with clients are achieved with NO hard workouts and NO calorie counting.
Remember what I said yesterday about CRITICAL THINKING.
With that in mind, consider this:
1. If you want to lose weight, then basically you need to convince your body to relinquish stored energy (fat).
2. A brutal workout requires energy, so on the face of it, that sounds like a good thing.
3. HOWEVER….yes, you may ‘burn’ say 500 calories doing your brutal workout. But then your body will want to hold on to its stored energy reserves in preparation for the next brutal workout. This is one of the reasons why so many people struggle to lose weight.
4. So - what if you did a low/moderate intensity workout? Well, when combined with a primal nutritional lifestyle (remove the refined sugars/carbs), this makes the body a lot more comfortable with the idea of relinquishing stored energy reserves (fat).
So.
Give it some critical thought.
What do you want to do?
Burn 500 calories in your workout, but then DOWN regulate your fat burning genes.
Or.
Burn 300 calories in your workout, UP regulate your fat burning genes, and turn yourself into a 24/7 fat burning machine.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND.
U.K. society is currently fatter and sicker than ever.
One of the reasons for that is that those who try and do something about it think that the way to go about it is to do long hard workouts….
….and fuel those long hard workouts with foods such as porridge, brown bread, rice, pasta, jacket potatoes etc etc etc
THIS IS ALL WRONG.
THE EVIDENCE IS RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF YOU.
COUNT HOW MANY FAT PEOPLE YOU SEE TODAY COMPARED TO HOW MANY HEALTHY LOOKING PEOPLE YOU SEE.
Now.
You may think I’m f**king nuts.
But trust me…
….if people did LESS exercise and ate MORE fat - this whole f**ked up situation would begin to reverse itself 👍

Do you like beer?
If the answer is ‘yes’ - answer the next question:
Do you think you drink it in moderation?
If the answer is still ‘yes’ - answer the next question:
Do you have a belly?
If the answer is still ‘yes’ - go back to question #2!😉
Know this:
Studies have shown that there is a clear correlation between how much a person likes a particular food and what their definition of ‘moderate consumption’ is.
Basically.
People will raise their definition of ‘moderate consumption’ when it comes to their favourite foods in order to justify their own consumption of it🙈.
Always remember:
“The first step to positive change is to stop believing your own bulls**t!”
