The senior team from USW Racing had an amazing day at Learn to Win with 1:1 sessions on design and scrutineering from the judges, gearing up for silverstone 2023! 🏎️

Along with a shiny new logo USW Racing have a new initiative to start the year with a bang! 🎉

Great day yesterday with the sim racing, our drivers placed second in D final and fifth in qualifying 🎉

Silverstone is more than just track days, the campsite has really brought us closer as a team and as friends ✨

As a new team, we know that it’s important to get across who we are. We’re proud to be Welsh and in the future we’d love to be able to use our team to showcase the importance of the language and heritage 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 But above anything, we feel that we’re an inclusive and diverse group who welcomes in members from all walks of life which is something we are eager to continue. USW racing is lucky to have a strong female cohort too which is vital in encouraging women in STEM 💪🏼

But both parts of USW Racing has the same aim of helping our students develop their professional, practical, technical and soft skills to help them throughout their education & careers.

Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus // Happy St David’s Day 🌼

This Thursday we’re looking at what’s happening here at USW Racing. There’s been a few changes recently and we’re super excited for the next few months:
- Formula Student 🏎 has us busy as always, with our focus on the static events. We’re currently working hard to compete in July
- USW Racing are lucky to have access to a Mazda MX-5 which we’ll be taking to track days and competing in hill climbs & sprints - if you’re interested in joining in then make sure to become a motorsport society member via the website! 👩‍💻

The new season has commenced this week with the first round of winter testing, taking place in Barcelona, and it’s getting us in the mood for some track days…
