Away to Stratford Town this morning and despite a bright start, it ended up being a tough game for the boys.

We found ourselves in front and were playing some good football and creating chances before Stratford found a way back into the game and took control before half-time.

The lads responded really well after the break, battled hard and kept trying to play, creating chances without quite finding the finish needed and as we pushed for the goals to get back in the game things just didn’t go our way today

The boys gave their all- no faulting the effort as they kept going, kept competing and gave everything they had

🏆 Parents MOTM went to our captain Maciej who made some crucial saves throughout building on a brilliant performance last weekend as well

🏆 MOTM was Marlo who got stuck in, showed loads of bravery and skill and kept trying everything he could to drive us forward

Early KO this morning in perfect football conditions! ⚽☀️

Not the start to the season we hoped for, going down 1-0 to a first half free kick, but the boys played their part in a really competitive game from start to finish.

Both teams were flying into tackles, battling for every ball and creating chances throughout. We kept pushing for the equaliser but just couldn’t find the goal our performance deserved.

Plenty of positives to take into the season ahead ⚽

🏆 Parents MOTM went to Maciej who was outstanding in goal, making some amazing saves and commanding his area brilliantly.

🏆 MOTM was our captain Shaylan who put in a complete performance today. Worked hard, tackled, showed real desire, skill and vision and led by example throughout.

Tournament season is here! ⚽️🏆

It’s been a while since our last post, but the boys have had a busy couple of weeks battling it out in some tough friendlies and tournaments.

Penalty heartache again today as we lost in a really competitive semi-final to Rugby Borough Lions while chasing the Champions League trophy at the tournament.

A well organised day with some quality teams on show. The boys gave their all and played every game to win, showing great effort, attitude and desire throughout 💪

This followed on from losing in the semi-final last weekend — on penalties again! — at the Southam tournament.

We’ll go again soon with the effort and desire and see how far we can go

What a season it’s been and what a team these boys have become

Everyone had a great time at the presentation today as we reflected on our u9 season

These boys turn up week in week out and give nothing but their best and we know we will go from strength to strength next season

The Sharks will be ready to go again 🦈⚽️

What a weekend for these boys as we went on tour to end our u9s season.

So many laughs/fun had and some special memories made

On the pitch - we got some deserved wins and 2 days of football were completed… the boys more than competed in every match and put in some brilliant performances

Thank you to all our players … you boys show up and continue to impress week after week.. we really are lucky to have such a great group of boys together

And to a group that doesn’t often get mentioned… “the Parents”… you guys …. 🩵

Different location, Same opposition, Different result but another great game between these two teams

We took the lead but conceded twice late one.. not the result we wanted but I can’t fault the effort and work rate shown by this amazing group of boys

🏆 MOTM was Archie who set up our goal and was non stop in midfield showing skill, composure, quality on the ball and desire to win it back all game

It was a close game today as the we hosted Warwick Juniors in our final home game of the season.

The boys got a hard fought but deserved win with a brilliant team goal straight off the training ground to get us on the way today and never looked back

The boys played out an entertaining draw with Rugby Borough Juniors this morning

After a strong start and racing ahead we were pegged back and it ended honours even with both sides creating chances to win it..

We welcomed Maciej back in goals and he put in a great performance to mark his return

Another away game today, this time at Leek Wootton.

We played some good stuff early on and didn’t get the rewards for our play but it came together brilliantly in the second half and we ran out deserved and comfortable winners

Even more impressive was a clean sheet without our goalkeeper… great work from AJ, Marlo, Aveer and James all stepping up for their team today and taking turns in goals… Also a huge well done to all the boys for their defensive work .. we pressed from the front and any time we were under pressure the lads in defence were there determined to win the ball back time and time again.

🏆 Parents MOTM went to Aveer who carried on his recent form with some lovely passing and showed aggression and creativity throughout and got his goal right at the end with a smart finish

🏆 MOTM for me was Marlo who was absolutely unplayable. He showed desire, skill and on any other day would have got the goal his efforts deserved and played all over the pitch to help his team today. A brilliant performance.

Brilliant performance from the boys this morning and a well deserved win against Warwick Juniors in our final cup game

We conceded early after a slow start but the boys responded well and played some great football and really grew into the game

Solid team performance with everyone playing their part

🏆 MOTM was AJ who battled well, showed some brilliant link up play and got an assist and kept the ball moving for the team creating a number of chances ( as well as some brilliant saves in the pen shootout at the end )
