Old Coventrians RFC Mini and Junior Section

What a fantastic weekend at the Burnham-on-Sea Rugby Tour for our Minis and Juniors!

There was lots of rugby played across the weekend, and it was brilliant to see so many smiling faces enjoying themselves and representing the club so well.
A special mention to Ollie in the Under 8s, who was presented with the Player of the Tournament award for his age group — an amazing achievement!

We also had some fantastic team successes:
🏉 Under 9s won the Enjoyment Award for their age group
🏉 Under 11s won the Respect Award for their age group
🏉 Under 13s made it all the way to the festival final and finished as tournament runners-up!

Massive well done to all of the children. You all played a huge amount of rugby over the weekend, showed great teamwork and sportsmanship, and did the club proud.
A huge thank you to all the tour organisers and age group organisers , without your hard work and dedication, this tour simply would not have happened.

A massive thanks to the U13/14s lads who helped sell the blackout card to raise money for the U13/14s tour fund.
Thank you to everyone who purchased a team in the blackout, the winning team was Leicester Storm, with M Owen taking the prize.

A big thank you as well to everyone who supported Tabetha’s tap-to-donate initiative to help fundraise for next weekend’s tour. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

We’re incredibly proud to see one of our Mini’s parents Steph, featured in a national newspaper today, sharing her powerful and inspiring story. Despite the challenges she’s faced, Steph continues to prove that nothing can stand in the way of determination, love, and resilience.
As a valued Old Coventrians Mini & Junior parent, Steph is a familiar face to many of us whether that’s on the side lines watching Bertie, inside the club house or volunteering on the sweet stall or helping out in the car park with her smile. Her positivity and commitment truly embody what our community is all about.
Steph is an inspiration not just to her family, but to everyone around her. We’re lucky to have her as part of the Old Coventrians family.

Wishing all our players, families, supporters and friends a fantastic Easter weekend!
Whether you're enjoying some well-earned rest or hunting for chocolate eggs we hope it’s filled with smiles and hopefully sunshine.

Just remember:
1 egg = fine
2 eggs = still fine
5 eggs = basically pre-game training fuel.
If you start running faster than usual at training, we’ll know why.

Also quick tip Easter eggs are NOT great for passing drills, they explode! The coaches have already tested it, for research purposes.❤️💛🖤

What a brilliant day at our Mini’s Rugby Festival on Sunday.
