WE ARE RECRUITING! Coventry Phoenix are recruiting this summer for our Open Age football teams. Whether you’re experienced or just looking to get back into the game, we’re looking for committed players aged 16+ to join the current squads we have available. We have a 3rd team-Reserve team and First team see our profile for any more information.

The first team remain unbeaten against the league leaders in a entertaining end to end contest between 2 great sides. We started strong gaining a 2-0 lead but put the gas on and didn’t stop. The game ended 3-3 but both sides could argue they deserved the 3 points. That’s 7 points taken off the 1st and 2nd showing what we are about. Unfortunately the 3rds lose on penalties in the Tony Hartley cup semi final against a familiar windmill side.

3 fixtures this weekend for the Phoenix. The first team are at home to . The firsts are chasing a top 3 finish in the league and are looking to carry on their form. The Reserves are away to a familiar side who always bring a great game. Finally the 3rd team face off against title challengers Fissc FC.

Last week our first team travelled over to first team and put on a very professional display managing to keep a clean sheet and walk away with the 3pts. Our 3rd team however couldn’t get it done against an ever present side who have turned their form around since the new year.
