15 days after renovations completed, great results on germination and it’s first cut at 10mm.
A feed and some aeration in the next couple of weeks and then a holiday and early December AGM followed by EGM to discuss my future as Green Keeper.
01/10/2023
Well turned up at 9.00 this morning to hand over to the members to be surprised to find 8 members willing to complete end of season renovations.
Green cleared of remaining debris from scarification, seeded in two directions, sarrel spiked, light roll with the Dennis mower and finally an application of fertiliser.
AGM Required to discuss the New Green Keepers position.
Big thanks to
Max, Olivia, Bradley, Colin, Liz, Graham, Dord,Ralf for your efforts today.
Still lots to do around the green and pavilion in the next couple of weeks.

URGENT MESSAGE
It’s with deep regret that I have to stand down as Green Keeper.
Due to lack of commitment from members, today the end of season work has stopped, after putting many hours in on my own to get the green in the position as in the photo today i needed members to help and only two turned up,
One of which stayed 1/2 hour then to leave to play in a comp on another green.
I am no longer prepared to put time and effort into your green giving you a good surface to play on when members can’t give a few hours at the end of the season ( one weekend )
I will be at the green tomorrow morning at 9.00 to hand the green over to the members.
To Finnish the work you will need at least 6 -8 members in attendance at 9.00.
Machinery has be hired and needs to go back tomorrow afternoon.

Phase two or renovation scheduled for tomorrow but couldn’t resist a double scarification this afternoon in glorious sunshine giving me a head start in the morning.
Just hope a few members turn up to help clear up from today

Saturday, hollow tined green and cores left to dry out over night.
Sunday, Double pass with dennis ft510 verti cutter to break up cores to separate soil and thatch then once again left to dry out.

Big thanks to Colin for helping out today cutting the green ready for our game tonight as I’m out of action with back issues, this maybe a long term problem the section needs to prepare for.
