Since turning 30 the signs have been flowing in, in absolute abundance. These are some of the ones that have stood out:
1. A recent card pull after deciding after 18months of grieving, being a messy human, self sabotaging, enough is enough. I am now ready to face my emotions head on, and I’m now ready to re-enter my sobriety journey.
2. My spirit baby visits me in rainbows. A few days into making some changes and putting me first this light appeared on my tiled floor. I jumped around the kitchen trying to figure out where it was coming from and could not find the source. When I said allowed “Tallulah, is that you?” The light began to fade. A sign that she’s with me always and I am on the right path, and as hard as it was to give her up, the thread of unconditional love will weave between us always.
3. I pulled two cards at the beginning of a recent cacao, conscious breath and sound ceremony. The hermit and the four of wands. The hermit- introspection, self discovery, isolation. Four of wands- celebration stability harmony. Within the ceremony I had full body tingles and throughout i could feel a spirit hold my right hand, towards the end I felt an object be placed into my hand and the song “the key, the secret”- urban cookie collective came on at full volume in my head! Totally bonkers I know, but it made me laugh and felt like a moment of celebration and harmony to me finding true happiness within myself again (because I AM THE KEY). Well, when I woke up from the ceremony by magic the hermit had turned itself over and the four of ones was left by itself- another confirmation that I am ready for this new chapter.
4. Whilst walking to the pub for dinner this axe was directly in my path, I nearly stood on it. I have Celtic roots, I feel my ancestors were sending me a talisman of protection and to remain strong in my sobriety 🥹- which after receiving this was the easiest thing in the world.
5. I found this sticker on one of my clients while I was treating them. 99-the angel number for completion of a life chapter and readiness to step into your higher purpose.

I am finally emerging from my dark and back into my light. Thank you for the lessons 🫶🏻✨🙏🏻

Life has been tough the past 18months- I have not been kind to myself. I have punished, shamed and guilted myself. It’s the relationship I have with myself that needed to change. It was a necessary part of my journey. I had to unbecome, to become.
I feel this is also why my planning permission for the retreat centre hasn’t come through yet, the universe knew I wasn’t ready.
I’m now ready to remind myself that I am worthy of this life, because I deserve happiness and I am worthy of great things.
The hardships are there to bring clarity and strength so you can step into your next best chapter. Watch out world, here comes Lily 3.0! 😘✨

Note to self 📝

I have felt pretty low the past few days, and because of this I know it’s even more important to commit to myself even when I don’t want to.
I woke up early and went to a reformers class. Came home had some breakfast and started a new colouring project in the garden.
I then put on a brave face went to work and supported 3 clients.
This evening instead of being with my husband and friends I have forced myself to go out for a skate and then go to a HIIT class after.
Why? Because I deserve to feel small joys on the difficult days.

These stones hold such a special place in my heart. ✨🤍
Legend says the Knights could tell the fortunes of young women here… and whether that’s true or not, there’s something undeniably magical about this place.

Standing barefoot in the centre of the Knights’ Circle, I felt such a deep sense of being held by the earth. 🥹🫶🏻🙏🏻

Anger is often misunderstood.
We see it as a weapon, a wildfire, something to fear or suppress. But if we peel back its layers, anger often reveals itself as love, love that has been wounded, love that has been unmet, love that feels unsafe. At its root, anger is a protector. It rises in the body when something precious feels threatened, our dignity, our boundaries, our sense of fairness, or the people and values we hold dear. The heat of anger, the flush of adrenaline, the tight chest or clenched fists, these are not signs that we are broken or “bad” they are signals from the nervous system, evolutionary messengers designed to safeguard us.
Neuroscience shows us that anger activates the amygdala, the brain’s alarm bell, preparing us for fight or flight.
It’s the body saying: Danger. Protect. Defend. In this way, anger is not the opposite of love, but its fierce guardian. We only get angry because something matters, because we care. And yet, when anger erupts, it is rarely met with love.
We push it away, in ourselves and in others, because we fear the destruction it can bring. We shame it, silence it, or let it explode without reflection. In doing so, we miss the deeper message:
Underneath anger is always a tender heart, asking to be seen, heard, and held.
So how do we come back to love when anger surges? We pause. We feel the heat, the tightness, the charge in the body, and instead of reacting blindly, we get curious.
What is this anger trying to protect? What is the heart afraid of losing?
We breathe into the nervous system, calming the fight-or-flight response, letting the body know:
You are safe now. We can listen. We can choose.
When we meet anger with love, not indulgence, not repression, but love, we create space for change.
We stop the cycle of hurt breeding more hurt.
We turn toward the raw heart beneath the rage and ask: What do you need? What truth wants to be spoken? What healing is waiting here?

Anger can be a doorway, not a dead end.
If we dare to meet it with presence,
if we dare to hold its burning edges with compassion, we can transform it, from fire that destroys into fire that illuminates.
This is how we come back to love. Not by avoiding anger, but by understanding it,
by walking through it, by letting it teach us how fiercely we care,
and how deeply we are called to heal.
…and perhaps this is the greatest gift of understanding our own anger. We become a little less afraid of it in others. Instead of meeting fire with fire, we begin to look for the heart beneath the heat. Sometimes all that is waiting there is a wound that never learned it was safe to be loved.

All my love

Let’s keep meeting anger with love ❤️

Let’s talk about Ahimsa.
One of the core teachings of Yoga philosophy.

Often spoken about as:
“don’t harm others”
“don’t eat animals”
“be kind”
But what if Ahimsa is a little more uncomfortable than that?

Because harm isn’t always obvious, and we cause unconscious harm every day.

For me this has been something I’ve been reflecting on deeply recently.

I was vegetarian for 8 years, rooted in Ahimsa and born from my deepening of my yoga practice, in a desire to not cause harm.

But over time, my body began asking for something different, and I slowly started allowing myself to eat meat again.
Only eating as a treat and locally sourced.
But if I’m really honest, recently, I’ve noticed I’ve drifted.
Partly through ease and partly through financial constraints.
Choosing what’s cheaper.
what’s accessible.
… the reality for so many people.

But in that, I also saw how quickly I stopped questioning.
How quickly I moved from conscious choice
into unconscious consumption.

I wasn’t living in alignment with the very thing, that once guided me so strongly-Ahimsa.

How easy it is to think we’re living “consciously”
when actually we’ve just become comfortable.
Because harm isn’t always loud.

Its made me realise this isn’t just about meat! We might choose not to eat meat,
to protect animals.

But then consume foods flown across the world, out of season, grown in ways that strain land and water, like the avocado 🥑
A “healthy choice” yet in parts of Mexico, the global demand has been linked to organised crime groups controlling land, pressuring farmers, and impacting local communities.
Not everywhere, not always.
But enough to pause and ask:

what does non-violence really look like in a globalised world?

So for me back to choosing:
– more locally sourced foods
– supporting farmers within our own ecosystem
– eating what’s in season
– and being more intentional with when and how I consume meat, whilst honouring the life that feeds me.

I recognise, this isn’t always accessible to everyone.
Cost, time, availability, they all matter.
So this isn’t about judgement.
It’s about honesty.
Because Ahimsa isn’t just about
“not harming animals”
It’s about reducing harm
where we can, when we can, with what we have.

Conscious living isn’t about looking spiritual.
It’s considering what impact does this choice have beyond me?
