Dear Parents & Players
As the lockdown eases, we were hoping to restart sessions after April 12th. Unfortunately, AT7 is contracted to remain as a testing centre until June, as are other places like Alan Higgs, Excel and Moat leisure Centres. this means they can't take bookings for the hall until then. In the meantime, we are trying to find somewhere else that we could use, and we will let you know as soon as we do.

National Lockdown – Updated restrictions - Badminton England Following the latest national lockdown restrictions being announced by the Government, regrettably all forms of badminton, with the exception of elite play, must stop with immediate effect.
Dear Racqueteers
We've been informed that AT7 is being turned into a mass testing centre in Jan so the hall will not be available for at least 6 weeks. We taken shuttles and stuff out of our cupboard so we will be able to hold sessions elsewhere if we get the chance & on the assumption we don’t drift into Tier 4.
We'll be in touch as soon as we have any further news.
We hope that you’ve all enjoyed Christmas and here’s to a Happy New Year 🎊🎉
Regards
The Coaches
Dear Racqueteers
As you will have heard by now, the Coventry & Warks area remains in Tier 3, so we've decided to hold off a return to play until the New Year. There will be another review of the tiers then and we will see how it goes. With the vaccine coming on stream, we're in the end game, so we just need to grit our teeth and stick it out for a bit longer.
In the meantime, we wish you all the best for the holidays and look forward to seeing you in the not-too-distant future.

Dear players,
With the current lockdown ending on Wed, 2nd Dec, the committee looked at restarting our Sat sessions. Although AT7 will re-open and Badminton England suggests that play for U18s is permitted, we decided that as Coventry was in a high-risk Tier 3 area, we should err on the side of caution and defer return to play for the time being.
The tier system is being reviewed on Dec 16th and we are hopeful that Coventry will be moved to Tier 2, in which case we can run a session on the 19th Dec. In any case, with any luck, we should be able to resume sessions in Jan.
We will let you know as soon as have something definite.

Latest news from Badminton England
The tiered lockdown measures are placing many of our clubs at risk so yesterday, along with several other indoor sports, we submitted our proposal to Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) to demonstrate how indoor sport can be delivered safely at each tier. If approved this will allow so many more clubs and players to return to play after the current lockdown
