The Wedge was looking lovely this morning, and on top of that it was fantastic to see some familiar faces, such a great place to chill out.

More pictures from this morning’s walk over the Wedge. It was lovely to bump into quite a number of people we’ve not seen for a while, nice to catch up and lovely to meet some new people and doggies.

All on our doorstep and just a few minutes drive from the city centre.

Nice trip over the fields and greeted by the new bridge that the city parks rangers and The Sherbourne Valley Project have put in place with some volunteers, well done to them all.

Hopefully they’ll put another bridge in at the other end of the fields…

This morning we took a stroll over the Wedge to take a quick look at how the work was progressing that The Sherbourne Valley Project has been carrying out. Having not ventured over for a couple of weeks it’s interesting to see how the landscape is coming along.

We stopped and chatted to old friends along the way and it reminded us what a great place the Wedge is and how easy it is to ‘escape’ the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Nice to finally see the fences around the pond fixed; great work by Joe and the City Parks Rangers.

Note the new route of the footpath; in addition nice to see people down there this morning taking part in a Bioblitz organised by The Sherbourne Valley Project.
