Unfortunately the sports park gates have been closed.
This will remain in place for Thursday whoever the side gate entrance will still be open for pedestrians to access the sports park and play area.

Meriden Village Green

The Parish Council is aware that two horses and carts/vans are on the village green. The Council has not given permission for horses and carts/vans to be on The Green and is seeking advice on the most appropriate course of action, given the area is private land and a conservation area.

Meriden Sports Park Closure Thursday 26th and Friday 27th June 2025 until 3.30pm

Meriden Sports Park would like to make our village residents and other users of the sports park aware of the closure of the park to the public for this Thursday and Friday until 3.30pm due to Meriden School using the facilities during this time. We apologise to anyone wanting to come to the park during these hrs but hope you will understand. Park will be open as normal from 3.30pm onwards.

Our exhibition A Postcard from Meriden - a local and community history project has some unexpected hidden gems. What could have made Hollywood legend Steve McQueen come to the village in the 1960s? Visit the library to find out, and see the photographs to prove it! We're open on Thursday morning from 10am to 12.30pm, and also on SUNDAY MORNING, for the Annual Cyclists' Memorial Service on the Green.

Child's scooter in the sports park been there since last week if you know who it belongs to please ask them to collect it.

Please remember the Sports Park is a no dogs area
