Just a bit of fun.
Playing with the concept of Jin (allowing an incoming force to rest on the ground at the feet).
Then applying this to a moving push.

Martial Arts is training gives a lot more that the ability to fight
Before we can control others, we must first control ourselves.
New members are always welcome.
A short video of clips from an ukemi/rolling class I led at the dojo for my students.
We were working on the basic forward roll practice/teaching method before moving onto tobi ukemi.
We also looked at uke’s roll and the importance of a good, honest partner work to facilitate a constructive practice.
Thank you to Tariq Aslam Zan Shin Ryu Aikido Dojo, Coventry for allowing g us to share his dojo, for encouraging his students to join in this class and most importantly for taking and editing the video.

It is with deep sorrow to announce the passing of Terry Bayliss Shihan, a venerable figure in the UK martial arts community and whose contributions to British Aikido were immeasurable.
Born with a passion for martial arts, Terry dedicated his life to the practice and teaching of Aikido. He founded and ran a successful British Aikido Organisation, fostering the growth and development of countless students across the UK. His teachings emphasised harmony, respect, and the spiritual essence of Aikido, principles he lived by daily.
A deeply respected member of the Aikido fraternity, Terry maintained a profound connection to Hombu Dojo in Japan through the Aikido Shimbokukai. This relationship not only enriched his understanding of the art but also allowed him to share authentic experiences and knowledge with his students and peers.
Terry's warmth and kindness extended beyond the dojo. He was a cherished friend of many, including myself, whereby we shared countless memorable moments, both on and off the mat. His influence reached far and wide, impacting not only those who practiced Aikido but also everyone who had the privilege to know him. Terry used to visit me weekly at either my dojo or home to train and talk all things Aikido over a coffee or two.
Terry, you'll be missed very much, my thoughts are with your family and students at this time.
