Barry Mapperson spent 30 years working for Coventry Transport Museum
Mr Barry Mapperson local folk hero from Binley Woods
For people who aren't aware Barry proudly drove the sky blues 1987 FA cup winning bus on the historic tour of the city.
Sadly Barry passed away a few weeks ago missing out on the recent celebrations of the sky blues gaining Premiership status again.
I'm sure he is still with us in spirit cheering the team on.
We at Revel Funeral Service were entrusted by his family to attend to his funeral arrangements.
Barry was a pasionate classic car enthusiast and you can see in the video his beloved Triumph Dolomite (driven by his son Mark) was first car following his hearse on his final journey.
The cortege was made up of some of Barry's friends in their treasured classics
following through the city onto Canley Crematorium where he was laid to rest.
A big thank you to Barry's family for supplying the video.
Rest in peace young Sir ' God bless'

Wishing all Mothers a very special Mothers day.
A pause for thought to all the Mum's that are no longer with us anymore but still ride on our shoulders and watch over us in whatever we do.

A final Journey with a difference. Today we were honoured to look after the Funeral arrangements of a much loved lady who loved horses and the King himself 'Elvis' of course !
Detailed to perfection a Beautiful horse-drawn hearse accompanied by our Jaguar ceremonial vehicles. Her horse crazy Grandaughter up on the carriage was a fitting tribute to her Gma.
Our team dressed with pink rose buttonholes added to the occasion.
The service took place at Rainsbrook crematorium Rugby.
An excellent attendance to say a fond farewell
Rest in peace x

Making the journey with a family from choosing a burial plot for their loved one to laying a fine Gentleman to rest
Bitteswell village was the setting for this sad but respectful farewell. Travelling by Jaguar hearse to church then making the final ride to the graveside by Tractor and trailer Bier. Our Vintage Grey Ferguson is such a lovely final ride for a Gentleman who loved rural life.
All arrangements were made from the instructions laid down by the late Gentleman
Images with the concent of his family.
God bless Sir rest in peace

This week at Revel Funeral Service our families asked for something different to the traditional black vehicles.
From our private collection we were able to support their requests.
