Two More British Champions 🏆

Sam is now 2x British Champion winning the blue belt in 2023 and now the purple belt title this year!

Alycia also stepped up to Purple belt, unable to get a match at Blue. Two Submission finishes, Alycia is now a British Champion earning a well deserved promotion to purple belt 🟪

Our third competitor, Abel Biju put in a great performance at Blue Belt in a stacked division, losing in the quarter finals to a well respected opponent, but not before securing his signature Ninja choke finish in his second match. 🥷

We are so proud of every child, especially those competing for the first time or moving up in weight or belt categories.

At Lions Gym, our ethos is simple: to build skills our children can carry into adult life. Medals are earned in the arena, but confidence, discipline, respect and character are all built in the background, on the mats with their team.

What a moment 👊🔥

Last night, we had two of the UK’s most accomplished MMA professionals teaching together, here on the mats at Lions Gym.

Both amongst the first in the UK to make that famous UFC walk, as well as, almost every other major promotion around the world, it was an honour for our members to learn from two athletes who have inspired and quietly paved the way for so many more fighters in the UK.
