Okay guys it’s time to make this competition happen, i’ve had loads of interest of people wanting to compete in this but at the moment it’s only been a couple that have actually signed up.
This is something completely new and difference it’s the first competition of this kind that I’m aware of in the UK’s fresh waters.

Here are the details for the micro Perch competition

The competition will be held on Hawkesbury Junction on the Coventry Canal on Sunday, the 5th of April (Easter Sunday)

Registration 7.00-7.30
Briefing 7.30
Start fishing 8.00
Finish fishing 3.00
Prizegiving 3.30

The entry fee will be £20 per angler which will cover day tickets and other costs all money left over will go into the prize fund. winner takes all.

Competition itself, as you must catch 10 perch with the maximum size of 13 cm
The winner will be determined by the shortest length of Perch.
Bonus points can be added as follows, you can deduct 1 cm each for one Pike and one Zander with a maximum length of 17 cm.

All fish will be measured on a measuring board provided on the day that you’ll be free to keep.

In the event of a tie, then it will be declared by the shortest length of 9 fish then 8 fish and so on.

EVERY MM COUNTS

Good morning all, hope everyone has had a good Christmas.
I’ve spoken to a couple of you over the last couple of days/weeks about a competition with a difference,a all out skills competition targeting micro perch.

The format….
You must catch 10 perch to count. max 13cm.
The winner will be decided by the smallest length of 10 perch.
In the case of a tie then the winner will be decided by the 9 smallest perch and again if it’s still a tie then it will be reduced to 8,7,6 etc but you must have 10 qualifying fish.
Each competitor will be given a fish measure specific to this competition.
