๐๐โโ๏ธSWIMMER SPOTLIGHT๐โโ๏ธ๐
NAME- NADINE CALLAGHAN
Q1-HOW DID YOU GET INTO SWIMMING?
My parents introduced me to the water at a young age they believed it was an essential life skills and wanted me to feel confident and safe in water. What started as basic lessons quickly turned into something I genuinely loved.
Q2-HOW HAS SWIMMING HELPED IN OTHER AREAS OF YOUR LIFE?
It built my discipline resilience and work ethic. It give me confidence it helped me socialise and brought life long friendships into my life. It also gives me structure and a good routine.
Q3- WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE RO SOMEONE LOOKING TO START POOL/OPEN WATER SWIMMING
My biggest piece of advice for anyone starting pool swimming is to just get in and be consistent. Donโt worrry about speed or technique at the beginning focus on getting comfortable in the water. The progress will come with time and consistency. Open water swimming is going to be my next challenge that I am looking forward to take on.

Congratulations Grace & Jenny! ๐๐โโ๏ธ
A huge congratulations to Grace Wee Swim and Jenny Cray on their incredible North Channel swims on Monday.
Grace has been a great friend and long-time supporter of the Lough Neagh Dunkers. She has supported our swimmers over the years and regularly trains alongside our open-water swimming community. An exceptional swimmer, coach and all-round wonderful person, we couldnโt be prouder to see her achieve this incredible milestone.
Jenny took part in our Lough Neagh Monster Winter Challenge, completely embracing the challenge and absolutely smashing it! She told us how the challenge kept her motivated throughout the winter months and helped prepare her for the demands of the North Channel. Another fantastic swimmer who showed tremendous commitment and determination.
To both Grace and Jenny โ hats off to you! ๐
We are incredibly proud to know you both and delighted to celebrate such a fantastic achievement. Your dedication, courage and determination are an inspiration to us all.
