Junior Friendly Meetup.

We hosted a friendly meetup today at Arcot Hall with 23 juniors playing from across 4 clubs from Arcot Hall, Tynemouth, City of Newcastle and Northumberland Park. The format saw two clubs, selected randomly, play against each other in a series of pairs match with points awarded for each match.

Myles Bowey-Tyler, Hugo Bowey-Tyler, Mason Stephenson, Jake Ormond, Luke Barber and Cole Williamson helped bring home the win for Arcot Hall. Well done lads!

Many thanks to all the players and clubs involved today for a very enjoyable day for all.

Today was the final Bank Holiday mixed for the 2026 season, which was the Mallen Trophy and played as a Texas scramble. As always with the Bank Holiday mixed competitions today was well supported despite the weather throwing its best and worst at those playing.

Today’s winner with an excellent winning score of 53 were the team of Laura Turnbull, Stan Oliver, Michelle Muse and Philip Hindhaugh. Second place with 55 went to Ang and Paul Friel and Michael and Rhona Richardson. Third place on countback with 56 went to Alan Catlin, Helen Cooper and George and Helen Wood.

Well done to all that played today, we look forward to seeing you all again next year.

Today saw the return of the Arcot Hall Junior club championship after a few years absence.

Congratulations to Josh Caldicott on being crowned Arcot Hall's Junior Club Champion today with a winning score of 78. Will Cairns came 2nd with a 79 and Shay Dunn 3rd with 80.

Shay Dunn was crowned Junior Net Champion with a net 69. Tyler Adams was 2nd with a net 70 on countback from Josh Caldicott.

We would like to thank all juniors for playing today and we look forward to welcoming them back next year with more competitions being planned for 2027.
