⚠️ Lessons learnt from Hyrox WC’s ⚠️
〰️ Find yourself a doubles partner who will carry you over the line when situations get messy 😢 🏃♀️ 🏃♂️
〰️ Some may say I’m crazy and ignored the warning signs but I’m still so glad we finished that race. I’d of felt way worse for Paul not picking up a medal and although I haven’t even looked at where it all went wrong, we would have taken a 1:08 a year ago. 41st in the world for combined AG and it gives us a starting point✔️
〰️ Not every race is going to go smoothly. I honestly felt the fittest and strongest I’ve ever been leading up to this one. The heat in the venue, tummy issues, nerves, warm ups will be different every time depending on location, country, layouts and venues. Maybe didn’t appreciate this quite so much 🥵
〰️ Chasing a time is probably not the best way forward ⏱️
〰️ Having friends watching is invaluable and I honestly don’t know what I would have been like without them. 💖 🙏💖
〰️ Look at taking out health insurance when attending a competition abroad 📈
〰️ I’m extremely grateful that I’m all good.. and of course it’s not put me off. Yes I’ve seen the doctors. I’ve had an ECG and bloods done and still waiting to see more doctors so can’t say I haven’t been checked out and sensible afterwards 🏥
〰️ Time to enjoy the summer and train entirely on my own terms for a bit.. then make a plan for some unfinished business 💥

It's the question on everyone's lips.
The one you all want to know the answer too.
What's the single best exercise to do to lose body fat and weight?
Is it ...
HIIT?
Running?
Strength training?
Planks and core workouts?
Spinning?
Body Attack or Body Pump classes?
Well.
To answer the question.
And it's not what you want to hear ...
⭐️ It's the one that YOU can do consistently and regularly ⭐️
To lose fat, you need to be in a calorie deficit right?
To burn more calories than you consume. And there's 2 main ways of doing that. Either you reduce your calories consumed by eating less or you increase your calories burned by moving more (exercise and daily activity). Or you do both, in alot of cases.
So. You've decided to tackle the second option and increase your calories burned.
And, you want to know what exercise is the one that's going to give you the best results.
But. Everyone's different.
And the key point is you need to pick something that YOU personally enjoy enough to be able to consistently and regularly do it.
If you hate running. There's no point trying to run 3 times a week to increase your calories burned. You'll probably keep at it for a few weeks, and then give up. Because you hate it.
But.
You might enjoy exercise classes. Being in that environment with other people might motivate you. It might help you work harder.
If you enjoy something, you are much more likely to be able to keep at it for a period of time.
And, the longer you can sustain and keep at something, the better your results are going to be.
Consistency is key.
This is why each and every one of our clients gets an exercise programme built specifically for them.
We don't give our clients exercise that they won't enjoy or be able to do. Because it just doesn't work.
Everyone's different. Therefore, the approach we take is different. For everyone.
