The green has been renovated - spiked, scarified, overseeded and soil top-dressing applied. I'll roll this in later today and next week apply fertiliser and then sit back and watch the little seedlings appear - hopefully.

Last day of the 2026 season.
We played the Taylor Tapp triples, which were won by Paul, Neville and Phil.
Congratulations.
Bottles of w**e donated by Neville Taylor were awarded as was the trophy.
In the photo are the victorious winners along with Keith Partridge and Richard Tapp.
This was followed by a bowler's tea.
Green renovation work commences next week.

Final game of our 2026 summer season. A traditional friendly against St Thomas in Exeter. Beautiful afternoon for a very nice, close match which St Thomas won by 1 shot overall!
We have no winter indoor fixtures this coming winter so we'll see you all again next season! Come and have a go!

Last competitive match of the season today, a 71 Shield match against North Tawton. We picked up two out of eight points, which means we finish in third place behind Champions Bradworthy and second placed Okehampton. This is a reflection of the great season we have had in this competition with some fantastic results. Well done to everyone who took part over the season.

Wednesday. Exeter over 60s league.
Final match of the season and both our A and B Teams went out like the weather - a bit of a damp squib. Both teams lost and the B Team rescued a late point, having been ahead all game on their rink. Lost heavily on the other though (yes ,OK, it was my rink!).
Next year, A team is in Division 3, B Team is in Division 5.

Saturday was President's Day and Henry Cruwys and his family hosted us and provided us all with splendid food. It rained...

Saturday was President's Day and Henry Cruwys and his family hosted us and provided us all with splendid food.
It rained so there was unfortunately no play possible, but we all had a good chat instead and raised over £300 for Henry's MS charity.

Wednesday afternoon is men's over 60's competition. Our A team played at home against Cullumpton and won 6 points to two.
The B Team played at Exonia and despite having a fun afternoon, lost on both rinks. This meant that Exonia gained promotion from Division 4 to Division three and Morchard are relegated to Division 5.
One game left next week.

Very pleasant afternoon spent with the Tiverton West End bowling club for a friendly of mixed triples. They are good friends of ours and we all had a lot of fun. We won one rink but the score hardly mattered.

Shield match tonight versus Bradworthy. Always great to play against them. They brought a strong side as they needed just one point to win the Shield 71 league this season. They took 8 points from us, so did it conformably. Congratulations to Bradworthy as Shield 71 Champions.

Wednesday afternoon is the men's over sixties league. We have two teams entered and both played at home today. Team A played Seaton and got 6 points (from 8) and team B played Bradninch and also received 6 points. These won't save team B from relegation from Div 4 to 5, but it may affect who goes down with us. Two matches left.
