✨ Flavour’s first taste of Hofmag… and I think she approves! 😂💜

First sessions are always interesting.

It’s my chance to get to know the horse, see how their body responds and start building their individual Hofmag picture. 🔍⚡

No two horses respond in exactly the same way — which is why every session is tailored to what that horse shows me on the day.

For Flavour, today was all about that first introduction…

🐴 Assessing the whole body
⚡ Identifying areas that may need extra attention
💜 Letting her experience the treatment at her own pace
🔍 Creating a baseline we can monitor going forward

First session complete. Now the exciting part is seeing how Flavour progresses. ✨🐎

Safe to say she’s officially had her first Flavour of Hofmag 😍

👀 Watch how her response changes in just a few minutes… 😱

At the beginning of this Hofmag session, this mare showed a strong response through her neck — immediately highlighting an area I wanted to investigate further. ⚡

Rather than simply treating everywhere the same, I use the horse’s responses alongside what I can see and feel to guide where I work.

🔍 Hofmag helps highlight areas showing increased muscular response, sensitivity or potential pain
⚡ I can then works through these areas with extreme care and caution
💜 The aim is to support circulation, cellular activity, body’s natural recovery process and muscular relaxation
🐎 And continually reassess how the horse responds

A few minutes later… look at the change.

The initial strong response settles and she begins to soften and completely relax into the treatment. 😴✨

That’s what I love about Hofmag.

It’s not simply putting a machine on a horse. That’s the difference between simply using Hofmag and actually reading what the horse is showing you.

Assess. Identify. Target. Reassess.

Every horse tells us something different — and every treatment is tailored to what that horse shows me on the day. 💜

💜 An afternoon at Pewit Hall 💜

A lovely afternoon spent at Pewit Hall working my way through their team of horses 🐴

One of the things I really enjoy about treating multiple horses on the same yard is seeing just how individual every horse is. They may share the same management and training environment, but each horse has their own way of moving, compensating and responding to their workload.

Having the opportunity to work with them regularly means we can build up an individual picture for each horse, learning what is normal for them, tracking changes between sessions and recognising when something presents differently.

From the younger horses developing strength and condition, to established competition horses managing a busy workload, Hofmag can be tailored around what each individual needs at that point in their programme.

A big thank you to everyone at Pewit Stud for having me and for trusting me with your horses. Always a pleasure spending an afternoon with this lovely team 💜🧲
