Grappling Industries Amsterdam 2026 ☠️🙏 excellent few days away with the crew! Competition team out doing their thing, top 10 anywhere we go, I guess?

I stepped out on the competition mats for the first time in YEARS,had some really cool matches but I lost to 3 x solid competitors.. which is exactly what I tell my students will happen at competition if they dip in and out of it, get in.. stay in. Jumping back in at Purple - Black belt was full of pressure but I honestly had a great time.

Exciting change to our MMA sessions, we’ve got the the super experienced in 2 x per week to coach the team! Can’t thank Gaz enough for coming on board, first session was completed on Tuesday and the whole team is buzzing about this addition.

Some more new belts last night! Purple for Lewis, lots of life changes and challenges for him and showing his discipline weekly now, competing in some really stacked divisions. Blue belt for both Daves, a long standing duo in the classes, a constant part of everyone else’s hard work and growth every single week leading up to comps or just in regular training. Excellent work lads, congrats!

Getting everyone in the same room at the same time with the team being as large as it is now has become a slight challenge.. I am very resistant to any form of ‘grading day’ format, so I had to fake a team meeting to get everyone in 🤣🙏

Another wee spate of opinions from the team! These are great for feedback & make me feel super proud of the culture we have built at Hellfish but when people say nice things about me I feel siiiick, so took me around a week to actually post these 🤣👏
