Day 2 of the Kilwinning Festival saw us take on Milton Rovers in the semi-final.

The boys put in an outstanding performance, playing some unreal football from start to finish. A fully deserved victory saw us book our place in the final against Glenvale.

And what a final it was against a top Glenvale side packed with quality players.

We went behind after a defensive mix-up, which led to an unbelievable finish from their striker.

Our boys stuck to the game plan and were rewarded when Jackson fired home a great strike from just inside the box to bring us level.

We thought we'd taken the lead when a brilliant cross found Big Cooper, who powered home a header. Unfortunately, the referee flagged for offside. We're looking forward to watching that one back on Veo later, as he was probably the only person in the stadium who thought it was offside!

With both sides pushing for a winner, the game really opened up. We hit the crossbar, the post, and missed a few gilt-edged chances. At the other end, Glenvale were also kept at bay by some excellent defending and goalkeeping.

In the end, Glenvale edged in front with a superb corner into the six-yard box, where their striker rose highest to head home what proved to be the winner.

It was a fantastic game from start to finish and a great advert for grassroots football. Massive credit to both sets of players for the quality, effort and sportsmanship they showed throughout.

Congratulations to Glenvale on their victory, and a huge well done to our boys. The effort, attitude and football they produced all weekend made everyone associated with the club incredibly proud. 💙⚽

Since you first came to me at Carbrain, your work rate has been second to none. When you're not on the pitch, you're definitely missed.

Your performances week after week have been outstanding. You may not always get the goals your play deserves, but your contribution to the team never goes unnoticed.

Your attitude, effort and commitment set a great example for everyone around you, and it's been brilliant to watch your development over the years.

This year's Players' Player of the Year goes to Wee Coops.

Another outstanding season from this young man in defence. Year after year, you continue to develop, and it's been a joy to watch your progress.

As you move into 11-a-side football, it's only going to help your game develop even further, especially in that right-back role where you've been so impressive.

This year's Parents' Player of the Year goes to Nathanael.

Our left-wing wizard has been in fine form for Caley this season, with his sheer pace and tricky feet helping him create and score a huge number of goals throughout this block.

You have been a joy to work with, and it's been fantastic to see how much you have developed as a player over the season.

A great way to finish the season with our awards ceremony at Greenfaulds Bowling Club.

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and, more importantly, to everyone who has supported the boys throughout the season. Your support means a lot to the players, coaches and everyone involved behind the scenes.

We now head into a well-deserved and much-needed 4-week break before returning refreshed and ready to prepare for competitive football.
