🐴 **Every child deserves the chance to experience the magic of horses.** 🐴

At Fossilfield, we believe equestrian sport should not be reserved for a privileged few. Too often, children are prevented from taking part because of costs, transport challenges, lack of local facilities, or simply because they have never been given the opportunity.

That's why we strive to make riding accessible to ordinary children from all backgrounds. Thanks to East Ayrshire Council’s Anti-poverty and inequality funding Fossilfield offered 60 free equestrian sports places each week over the school summer holidays.

Equestrian sport offers so much more than learning to ride. It teaches **empathy**, as children learn to understand and care for another living being. It builds **commitment**, **responsibility**, and **confidence**. It encourages **patience**, **resilience**, and **respect**, while helping young people develop skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.

For many children, time spent with horses can be life-changing, improving wellbeing, self-esteem, and providing a real sense of achievement.

At Fossilfield, we're passionate about breaking down barriers and opening the gate to the next generation, because every child should have the opportunity to discover the joy, friendship, and life lessons that horses can bring. ❤️

🌟Celebrating Endings, Milestones, and New Beginnings*🌟

Thanks to East Ayrshire Council's funding to support life-changing opportunities, Fossilfield proudly celebrated the successful conclusion of an amazing summer programme with a wonderful parade of horses and ponies.

Today also marked a significant milestone for Fossilfield, recognising over 500 young people who experienced severe equine learning with our end-of-career racehorses since opening our gates in March 2022. This journey began with initial funding from The National Lottery, and we are incredibly proud of how far we have come.

Our young riders were outstanding today, demonstrating confidence, enthusiasm, and a true passion for learning. Watching their growth and achievements has been inspiring, and we are excited to see how they will help shape the future of Fossilfield in the years ahead.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported this journey. Here's to celebrating what we have achieved together and looking forward to the exciting new beginnings still to come. 🐴✨
