🏉 FROM THE MIDLANDS TO THE INTERNATIONAL STAGE! 🌍

What a fantastic few weeks for the Caledonia Midlands Rugby Referee Society, with our referees and officials proudly representing the Society at the highest level of the women’s game. 👏

Over the past three weeks, we’ve had MRURS officials involved in Scotland Women internationals, with appointments across the Scotland v Canada, Scotland v New Zealand and Scotland v Australia fixtures. 🇨🇦🇳🇿🇦🇺

From No. 5 officials to timekeeping, these opportunities showcase the dedication, development and hard work of our referees and match officials — and demonstrate just how far the pathway can take you.

A huge congratulations to Lee Murru, Ted Coutts, Allana McLean and Georgina Adams on their appointments! 💙👏

Could you be a match official?

There’s more than one way to be part of rugby 🏉

You could become a match official whether you’re a current player, returning from injury, a coach, volunteer, parent, student, or completely new to rugby.

You don’t need years of playing experience or to know every law. Our free Introduction to Match Officiating courses will teach you the basics, build your confidence and help you get started.

Whatever your background, there could be a place for you on the other side of the whistle.

Thinking about taking up the whistle for next season?
Scottish Rugby are running Introduction to Match Officiating courses at Stirling County RFC and nearby Scottish Gas Murrayfield in August, along with a later course at Ross Sutherland Rugby Club in October.
These courses are free to attend, so why not give it a go!
