🏆 Club Championship Finals Day 🏆
It was Club Championship Finals Day on Saturday, with five great finals taking place across the day.
We started with the Women’s Singles, with Fallon taking on Alison. It was Fallon who came out on top in an entertaining affair. 🎾
Next up was the Men’s Singles, with Adam taking on John. Both men played brilliantly, but it was defending champion Adam who came out on top. 🏆
We then moved on to the Women’s Doubles, where Erin and Liz took on Abby and the newly crowned singles champion, Fallon. Erin and Liz fought hard, but it was Abby and Fallon who cruised to victory.
The Men’s Doubles followed, with Colin and Darren taking on the two singles finalists, Adam and John. In an entertaining match that felt like it lasted all afternoon, Adam and John eventually edged their way to victory.
Last up was the Mixed Doubles, with Dan and Fallon taking on Adam and Abby. With one of Adam or Fallon guaranteed to complete a clean sweep, it was Adam who would achieve it, as he and Abby came through a thrilling contest to take the title! 🎾🏆
Once play had finished, we held our annual end-of-season celebration and trophy presentation. As is tradition, Dov was on duty as quizmaster — and, as usual, the quiz caused more drama than the tennis! 😂
We finished the night with some music, drinks and plenty of celebrations.
A huge well done to the winners and to all the players who competed throughout the year, and a big thank you to everyone who came along and supported Finals Day. 👏
