Dalgety Bay Bowling Club

Dalgety Bay Bowling Club Established in 1996 Dalgety Bay Bowling Club provides a friendly environment for the local community A new, full-sized green and Clubhouse, opened in 2005.

The Club has a Bar and hosts regular social events throughout the year, as well as a full program of bowling competitions for all ages and experience during the playing season (April - October). Coaching for adults is available from our qualified Coaches (Thursday evenings) and juniors (Tuesday afternoons after school or Monday mornings during holidays). Regular social events: Wednesday morning is Coffee Morning. Fortnightly Thursday evening bingo and monthly Saturday Jackpot bingo. Friday evening social (incl. Darts and Dominoes competition during winter). During the playing season, Thursday mornings, Tuesday & Friday evenings are Hats where teams are drawn from whoever turns up on the night. Full card of Friendly Fixtures - both Home & Away. League bowling for Ladies & Gents. Visitors and new members most welcome.

Yesterday was the annual Marconi Trophy Balloted Rinks Competition. It is Dalgety Bay Bowling Club's longest running competition. It was a great day of bowls despite the blustery conditions. There were some close matches, including the final. Congratulations to this year's winners - Bill Millar, Brad Harris, Matt Hay, and Sheila Stewart. Commiserations to runners up Derek Bishop, Sue Alexander, Janice Sims, and Jonnie Spiers.
A big thank you to everyone who took part and to the lovely people who organised the day, provided the sausage rolls, and took care of our liquid refreshments.
