On Friday night at the Barrow and District Junior Association Football League Annual awards night we received two reasons to celebrate.
Firstly a huge well done to Alan Mansergh who received a lifetime achievement award in recognition of his services to our club. Alan has been involved since the late 80's when he was coaching with Dalton Casuals. He then followed into the Seniors coaching and has held many roles on the Committee over the past 25 years. Treasurer and Groundsman Amongst lots of unseen work around the club. A fantastic and well deserved recognition from the league. Well done Al π
To cap off a great night we were also awarded the very prestigious Club of the Year Award. This is an amazing recognition to all our wonderful Committee, Coaches, Volunteers, Players, Parents and everyone who works hard for the best of the club.
A brilliant and well organised event from the local league who's Committee are doing some great work for the local Community β½οΈπ

On behalf of everyone at Crooklands Casuals Football Club we'd like to say a massive thank you to all at Murphy Group for the work carried out on our car park as part of the Giving Back Scheme.
The work provided to upgrade the car park has been a huge boost to everyone resulting in a car park which is now safe and meets the needs of our members and the wider community.
All the lads who were involved in the work were a pleasure to have on site, an absolute credit to Murphy's for their work ethic and dedication. Thank you all.
We are delighted with the end result and are sure all who visit our club, whether players, parents or opposing teams and supporters will benefit from having a more appropriate and much improved car parking.
Special thanks to Craig Parrington who was instrumental in securing this work π

It's been a tough few weeks weighing up what we do for next season with no solution for 1st Team Manager and a real struggle competing this season.
Combined with rising travel and referee costs plus a constant struggle for volunteers to support playing in this league the overwhelming feeling across the Committee is the time is right to drop out of the West Lancs league and return local.
Our decision was confirmed to the West Lancashire League on Monday ahead of the AGM and the 2026/27 season and our application to join the Furness Premier Division was made.
It has been a great journey over the last 27 years but we feel returning to our local Furness Premier League will give us a chance to rebuild, compete and reinvest financially into improving the club for all our members.
We will still have two Senior teams playing this coming season with both playing locally in the Furness Prem and Division 1 subject to approval at the AGM.
Jon Bell will manage the first team and Craig Robertson and Graham Benson will manage the Reserves so a big welcome to the club to these two lads πβ½οΈ
