The league in previous times have worked closely with local charities and supported great causes like, Darlington Memorial Hospital, Cancer Research UK and St Teresa’s Hospice.

In our most recent community action we met up with a young Pool and Snooker Player Jack who didn’t have a cue to play with, so our league chairman Harry has kindly gone out of his way to provide Jack with a brand new playing cue that he can use to keep playing the sport he loves with a cue that suits his height, it’s great to see youngsters like Jack so enthusiastic about cue sports.

Darlington has seen a massive growth in cue sports in the last three months thanks to the opening of Bobby’s this is where Jack works his socks off to become the next star player.

In 2026/2027 Darlington Snooker League and Bobbys have big plans and have already had talks on how we can work closely together to offer as much opportunity to players of all ages in the snooker and pool community. So please follow both pages to keep a close eye on what’s to come in 2026/2027.

Wednesday night singles final contested between Richard Harris and Louis Wakelin was played in great spirit and some great tight snooker being played. Richy came out on top in the match winning 2-0 with the 1st frame being a black ball decider!

Following Wednesday catch up final fixture between New Club B v Hurworth, the 2025/2026 season has now finished.

Hurworth finished strong with a 4-1 win against New Club B which seen finish 7th in the table.

Cancer Research 3 Man Knockout Winners 🏆

Last night was the final of the cancer research 3 knockout cup, being held at Hopetown WMC. The final was contested between Harry Bowes, Bailey Bowes and Keith Martin v Richard Bennett Hirst, Craig Davies and Wayne Kelly.

Final score ended 3-0 to the Richard, Wayne and Craig from Harrowgate Hill with all 3 frames being tightly contested.

Runners Up - Bailey Bowes, Harry Bowes and Keith Martin.

All of our cup competitions have been very close encounters across the board, special mention to Ben Heys of JUC B who recorded a staggering 65 Clearance to smash the current record for the leagues highest break which was set by himself with 55.
