Big shout out to Jude Coad who spent time at the U18 england camp at the weekend. After just turning 15 at the end of last season this is great to see.

Jude keeps going from strength to strength within the sport showing what hard work and dedication can help you achieve.

A big thank you to all attendees and supporters who came down for the day.

Thank you in particular to running the bar and food for the day keeping people fed and watered.

Thank you to and for putting up the courts and refereeing games helping a smooth running to the day.

It was a great success and hoping to do it again next year.

Here are the winners from yesterday's competition.

The cup winners were Touch Grass travelling up from Sheffield

The plate winners were Cheese and Crackers travelling down from Newcastle.

For those attending the Grass tournament on Sunday.

Registration is between 9am and 9.30am looking to start at 10am

There will be a lunch break between 12pm and 1pm for about an hour before the afternoon games begin.

Aiming to finish about 6pm.

At the venue there will be some hot food available to purchase this is CASH ONLY.

Soft drinks sold by the venue will be able to be purchased with cash or card.

There is a supermarket a 5 minute drive away for anyone wanting alternative supplies.

Looking forward to seeing everyone turn up.

We have had 1 team drop out of the tournament so have an available slot first come first served. In comments

The men's team had the final game of the season at Longbenton last night against the Wolves.

After going down 2-0 in sets the lads rallied and came back to take it to a tie break set but with Wolves getting a key server right at the end they got over the line 3-2.

The lads have had a great season with some brilliant performances along the way competing with all teams and providing tough opposition.

We move onto the next season for bigger and better things.
