Here at North Park Bowls Club the new season is just over a week away.

There's lots of tidying up work needs doing and we would dearly appreciate help.

A good result yesterday in the Harrison trophy match at Woodland, winning 55 shots to 34. Next round , 20 June, away at Richmond.

North Park Bowls Club will be holding an open day on Sunday 21 May, from 10am onwards, the same day as the Head of Steam historic vehicle event in the park. Free taster sessions/coaching, so why not come and have a go - all you need to bring is a pair of flat-soled shoes or trainers. No experience needed. All ages welcome, but children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Free tea/coffee/orange squash and biscuits. We look forward to seeing you then!

As the new season is almost upon us, here is the fixture list. Let's hope that the weather is kind to us, and that we have a competitive, but friendly, programme of matches and competitions.

We are looking to run some fun bowling activities (indoors, and possibly on a Saturday morning) during the winter, aimed particularly at the younger age groups, to hopefully generate some interest in the game of bowls.

Bowls is a social sport, open to anyone of any age, it's good exercise in the open air, and it's not expensive. For a very modest cost of membership, you can access our bowling Green at any time during the season, and participate in League games against other clubs, and also take part in various competitions.
