Based in the North East of England, we study the martial arts of Iaido, the Japanese art of the sword, and Jodo, which uses a wooden stick or Jo.
The Dōjō's main art is Iaidō, also offering Jōdō alongside. Iaidō(居合道) is the traditional art of sword drawing. Hello again!
Training during the last couple of years has been incredibly difficult however we are pleased to say we are now back into our usual venues and established as a regularly training club again.
If you are a past student who fancies joining us again or if you are completely new to Iaido and just want to have a go, we train every Thursday night 7pm-9pm at the Quaker Meeting House on Skinnergate in Darlington.
If you haven't been before and/or don't own your own kit please contact us in advance so we can bring kit for you to borrow.
Had a great night last night with many of the club joining us via zoom for the clubs yuletime quiz. Well done to luke who won.
But the main point was to catch up with each other.. have a laugh... and some boozes.

There is a general explainer of what the types of possible restriction are and what currently applies where, and then a separate document for each Tier.
You can also find them here on my personal G drive:
