What an amazing, emotional morning, celebrating the legend that is Gary Read.

A fitting turn out from hundreds of friends, family and runners from all across the region to celebrate with Gary and his family, in what is likely to be the last time surrounded by his beloved running community, that he has contributed so massively towards.

Over £13.5K has been raised for Macmillan Cancer Support in a week, plus the very generous donations collected this morning... Help Gary push towards the £20K mark by donating here:

Fantastic run by Kyle last night to take down another club record, running 15:33 in the 5K!

He took 11 seconds off John Russell's previous U17 record from 2020, in lashing rain and wind (and also being full of flu!)

Kyle only turned 15 in April, making the time even more outstanding in the U17 age group.

After a lot of injuries, illness and shuffling of available athletes, we will be taking 3x U11, 2x U13 2x U15, 2x U17 and a Senior Men's team down to Sheffield tomorrow for the first big XC Championships of the season!

Many of our junior athletes are first year in their age group, so it will be a tough and challenging competition, one I'm sure they'll grasp with both hands and do themselves proud!
