Our Minis section have taken part in 2 festivals so far this season Medway and more recently Tunbridge Wells festival last Sunday. With the Under 9's having a special festival Saracens. Reports below from our fantastic coaches.
🏉Under 7's from Coach George @ TW Festival
Couldn’t be more proud of the Super 7s today. After their first ever festival last week, they were all very excited to go again!
Loads of tries going over spread throughout the team and getting the grasp of their tagging game.
Running in the right direction and panic passing virtually none.
Really looking forward to seeing even more improvement next week with three teams entering!

🏉Under 8's from Coach Sam @ TW Festival
Our U8’s travelled to TW this weekend, with a slightly smaller squad. Even with smaller numbers we managed to field 2 teams just with no subs. This did not phase the kids and they gave it their all throughout all the games. A stellar performance by all with Lily & Jacob picking up player of the match awards. They all played exceptional rugby with some tough opposition. Looking forward to next week for our Third tournament in a row.
🏉 Under 9's from Coach Stu @ Saracens Festival
Saturday saw the Saracens Under 9’s Invitational Festival at the StoneX.
DVRFC had one team entered, with 7 members in attendance, it meant no substitutes, but guaranteed game time in each of the 4 games played! My goodness me, how they fronted up and made their coaches, parents and Valley proud!
Some excellent rugby on display. Crunching tackles, little offloads, long passes to exploit space, plenty of tries shared amongst the team, some excellent running lines and loud cries of “line on me” ringing out around the stadium at each restart! We don’t keep scores, but if we did it’s fair to say this team finished undefeated!
After the games, all teams were invited back on to the pitch to form a tunnel and welcome the Sarries first team! Lots of excited faces as the likes of Owen Farrell, Jamie George and Maro Itoje gave them high fives! We then took our seats and watched Saracens beat Bristol Bears 30-7.
A thoroughly enjoyable day, thank you to Saracens for your hospitality, to the parents who made the journey and most of all to the kids, who gave a great account of themselves and represented Dartford Valley with distinction! 🏉❤️🖤
🏉 Under 10's from Coach Micky @ TW Festival
Second Festival of the season took the under 10s to TW.
We sent 2 teams who approached it with hard work desire and solid team spirit. The players and coaches enjoyed a strong, fun and well represented day of rugby on a great surface at a well run Festival.
Highlights: The marked improvement on performance the week prior. Players growing in confidence, developing and coming to the forefront who previously may not have and really stepping up. New players developing their rugby knowledge and applying it. Players whom always form a spine through both teams with consistent well rounded strong performances and setting examples.
Well done to all the under 10s on working hard, continued progress and growing team spirit !. DVRFC⚫️🔴
🏉 Under 11's from Coach Vince & Jake @ TW Festival
Under 11s entered 2 teams, each played 5 games. The children all grafted to the end and were visibly shattered. Some tough oppo but when the games flowed the kids played great rugby. To quote Coach Jake "the first game for both teams where in my opinion the best I have ever seen them play and a pleasure to watch. The first time I have ever felt emotional watching them, I was so proud."
